This car is the V-6 model...which means it is the good one! Saturn also made 4-cyl VUEs and the automatic transmissions in the 4-cyl models were terrible...high failure rate, ndexorbitantlyexpensive to replace (they cannot be repaired).This is NOT THAT CAR. The V-6 models have no typical issues: engine and trans are strong and work well.
This was my teenage daughter's car for a few years...I bought her a new one for graduation, his one is not needed anymore. It is just collecting dust and bird poop...rarelydriven anymore...100 miles a month, aybe, ust to "excersize' it.
The Good:Engine runs goodTransmission works goodAll-Wheel Drive works perfectly...as designed.Brakes are goodExhaust is goodAll electric accesories work (windows, ocks, unroof, adio,wiper, etc...)All lights internal and exterior work.Horn worksNew, lear headlights!New tires!The interior is in exceptionally good condition...no tears or rips in the fabric anywhere: carpets, eats or door panels. The headliner is the only exception.
The Bad:Some paint defects (see photos)Headliner sags a little (see photos)A/C does not work. If I recharge the system it works fine for 3-4 days. The compressor has a leak, ill need to be replaced. No other leaks or issues with the A/C system.
Don't know what else to say:It's a used car with about 185,000 miles or so on it. It is dependable and runs well.
I am a mechanic and this car hasreceivedmeticulousmaintenancewhile we have had it: Full Synthetic oil changes every 4000 miles for 4 years. Transmission fluid changed recently, s per maintenance schedule. Car is cleaned regularly.
Buy it...you'll like it!
You'll have fun with it for a few years...maybe longer if you baby it and don't beat it up!
