1962 Chevrolet Corvette 4 Speed Manual 2-Door Convertible

It was the last year of the first generation solid rear axle car and it was the first year for the small block 327 V8. The "ducktail" rear end also foreshadowed the styling of the second generation Corvette Sting Ray that would be introduced in 1963. This Roman Red example is a very nice car. It has the original, umbers matching, 27 engine rated at 250 hp. The carb has been updated with an Edelbrock 4 barrell with an electric choke and the stamped steel valve covers have been changed to the finned cast aluminum covers. Other small changes to the car are an aftermarket shifter has been installed to the four speed transmission and a modern radio has been installed without any modifications to the center console. The Roman Red paint shows great and the red interior is also in outstanding condition. This car drives very well, hifts smoothly and stops straight.
