Relisted due to multiple non-paying bidders. Please do not bid unless you are able and willing to follow through with the transaction.
This is an old road race Corvette. It came from the San Francisco Bay area. It appears to be an original black on black, solid lifter, 4 Speed, Posi car, it also has a steering quickener installed. It had an amateur restoration some time ago. Seats and carpet are replaced with original style coverings. Door panels appear to be original and show their age. Original gauges are intact and presentable but not functioning. The heater control panel and radio have been replaced by a trio of Stewart Warner gauges, the factory 6500 tach was recently replaced with a vintage style electronic Sun unit, the stock one is included. Steering wheel shows cracking but functions as it should. The car has a stock looking 283 that appears to be from a 1959 Corvette. There is a Muncie 4 Speed, with a Hurst Ramrod shifter, in the car and the factory Posi rear end. The frame on this Corvette is in very nice condition, no collision damage and no rust through, only minor surface rust in very few areas. Body has been repaired above the front wheel wells and around the grill. It has cracks and bubbles in the old repaint but it shines up nicely and fits the race/driver condition of the rest of the car. There is a roll bar that appears to have been in the car for a very long time. The car has some vintage adjustable shocks that have been on it a long time. Battery has been relocated to the trunk. It has chrome wheels from Wheelsmith and Hurst cheater slicks in the rear. It currently runs and lot drives. It shifts and stops as it should with new stock brakes all around. It will need some work to be a driver. There is currently no exhaust system other than down pipes. There are also some smaller parts that need to be installed, such as the trunk latch and glove box latch. It will need some wiring finished, mainly at the headlight buckets and turn signal switch. I have a stock hood that would need repairs and paint. I have the clear original title that is in my name and matches the frame stamped VIN. The original steering column tag is not present. It will make a great start to a vette project and probably be the lowest price you can find for a running C1 Corvette. Car is located in southern Michigan and I'm happy to help with loading but shipping is the buyer's responsibility. Feel free to call or text me with any questions, Cody 269-986-0579. Thanks for the interest. Immediate deposit of $1000 due at the end of the auction, balance due in 10 days.
