I began this build in 1994. And have been upgrading and building it pretty much ever since.**Frame 1976 Dodge Power Wagon 1-ton dually 4X4**Body 1985 (D150 - As title states)** Engine, transmission, transfer case, and axles from donor 1992 Dodge Power Ram 3/4 ton 4X4 with Cummins turbo diesel.
**Cummins Turbocharged and Intercooled Diesel (approx 170,000 original miles on engine--FACTORY SETTINGS - NO MODS)**A518 HD transmission - rebuilt with heavy duty clutches, Ultra Lo stall converter, double deep Mag Hytec pan, huge auxillary cooler**NP-205 Transfer case (Twin stick shifter)**Dana 70 rear axle - new brakes,**Dana 60 front axle - new rotors, calipers, axle joints, pads, rebuilt drive shaft and CV joint.**3.55:1 Axle ratio**Skyjacker 4" springs in front - factory 1-ton spec rear springs and factory block in rear**33-12.50-16.5 BFG All terrain tires. 60% tread on Wagon Wheels**Custom PPG base coat/clear coat paint -- "Michigan State Police" blue with custom "Power Wagon 300" decals**New windshield and gasket----rear slider window has new gasket and is limo tinted**Reupholstered seat**Weather stripping and door handle gaskets new**Dash mounted aftermarket volt meter, trans temp gauge, and Diesel tachometer**Off Road Design custom twin stick transfer case shifter**New carpet (bed liner applied to inside of cab before interior installation)**Custom dual stacks**Rear mounted Fuel tank from Ramcharger**Custom built Heavy Duty front and rear bumpers (built heavy duty and covered with 3/16 diamond plate)**Heavy Duty Class III hitch**Professional Rhino lined over the rail bed liner**Just about everything has been rebuilt or replaced at one time or another on this truck - this is only a short list
Pains me to sell. But my growing family needed a crew cab. So my favorite truck has to go. This truck has not seen snow since I've been building it. It's kept in a semi-heated garage all the time. I do not drive it in the rain. It gets washed and waxed. It drives and handles like a 1st gen lifted Dodge with leaf springs up front. It starts up and runs beautiful. It shifts, stops, and the four wheel drive work like they should. I drove it on a 300 mile trip last summer and it got about 17mpg at about 65mph. I never drive it faster than that. It has a working electric trailer brake controller.
Things to note.....This truck is Titled and Insured as a 1985 half ton 2WD. The body is beautiful--just keep in mind I DO drive it, so there are a few stone chips (NO dents), and a few spots where the paint got thin while buffing-- These are hardly noticable. There is a tiny bit of rust starting at the seam above windshield. The grill is almost perfect with exception of a small crack at the top and small imperfection at the bottom. Transmission overdrive is shifted by a switch on the dash. Factory intake grid heater is also controlled by a switch on the dash. Has block heater, but never used it. The Cummins doesn't use oil, and only seeps a little like a many 1st gen Cummins do. This truck currently has NO PARKING BRAKE CABLES. I removed them because I planned on converting to rear disc brakes which I DID NOT GET TO. Interior could use sill plates on carpet.
