Up for sale is this beautiful 1974 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible with only 52,181 original miles.
We acquired this beauty from the founder of Cinnabon (cinnamon roll restaurant) Rich Komen back in 2008. At that time, he not only told me the story about the car but also wrote a letter and mailed it to me. Here is the story:
Purchased new in Rapid City, South Dakota by Mr. Estes for Amie Estes on their 50th wedding anniversary. 4 years later Mr. Estes passed away and Mrs. used the Cadillac sparingly until she passed away. Her son Bret took ownership of the vehicle and in 1998 sold it to Sam Buck of San Juan, Island Washington. Few years later in 2004, Richard Komen purchased this Cadillac until we ran across it in 2008.
We've had the vehicle in storage since and only put less than 100 miles. As you can see in the pictures below, we have purchased some of the bumper fillers, window weather stripping, and a brand new convertible top and latch. The rear bumper fillers have not been purchased but will be and shipped to the winning bidder. The picture before the convertible top latch is an example of these only and not included.
Included and shown in the pictures are the following: original owner's manual, warranty booklet, maintenance schedule, misc service records, registration cards, 1974 Cadillac sales brochure, original keys, California title, copy of Washington title, letter from Rich Komen and Cadillac repair manual.
Please note that the paint is in fair condition with some oxidation throughout.
This Cadillac is a good driver and is only a few steps away from being a show vehicle.
In short, we are passing this minor restoration project to the next Cadillac enthusiast. Unfortunately, we have not had the time to invest and fully finish this beauty. But as you can see in the pictures, this Cadillac is in very solid shape.
Engine runs strong, transmission shifts normal, power windows, power doors, power seat seem to work fine. Also, radio, power antenna and power convertible top are working fine. The A/C was recently retrofitted but seems not to be blowing cold anymore. Lastly, the cruise control is not working and have not had it checked out.
Below are some links of a couple videos we put on you-tube to show a test drive and the power top working. If you can't access them, let us know and I would be happy to email them to you.

Please note that you are bidding on a vehicle that is over 40 years old. Even though it is in good shape, it is a used car and still needs some work for it to be in top shape.
We always welcome inspections before the end of the auction, not after. NO EXCEPTIONS!
This vehicle is sold AS-IS.
We are happy to assist in making shipping arrangements.
