2002 Chevy Express Extended 3500 Turbo Diesel 1 Ton Cargo Van. This was purchased new by the City of Charlotte. Clean Title, I am the second owner, bought it in April and had to add many new parts to get it up and running properly.
New parts added since April 2016
- both batteries replaced
- new serpentine belt
- new tires
- all 8 glow plugs replaced
- new fuel injection pump installed
- fuel tank completely flushed
- new lift pump installed
- new fuel & air filter
- new oil filter and oil
- new windshield wipers
Cosmetic issues
Paint is chipping around the driver side door. Some small dings on driver side panel and on back driver door. Small rip in leather on the back of the passenger seat.
Mechanical issues
Runs perfect, had been sitting a while and had the Chevy dealership completely replace and flush fuel system. They flushed the tank, installed new lift pump and new fuel injection pump. Engine runs great no noises or leaks, transmission shifts smooth. Between $4-5k in new parts and labor added, have receipts for everything except tires and batteries.
Other
A/C blows ice cold front and back, radio works great. Original owner's manual and diesel guide included.
Summary
Overall this van is in great shape and these Diesel cargo vans don't pop up too often especially with this low of mileage. It should last a good 300k+ miles and will be a good addition to any moving or small business company that needs a lot of cargo room. I'd prefer to do Local Pickup because I haven't shipped vehicles before. Let me know if you have any questions.
