Want to restore a Spitfire that has no rust? This is the one that you want. The body has been removed from the frame and placed on a rotisserie. The bodywork has been completed except for final sanding and paint. Floor pans are solid, replaced, I think. When the body was off, the frame was redone, too. If you know Spitfires, you know that the frames can be rusty-not the case here. Redone and painted black. Here is the story. The bodywork and frame was done in abody shop. The owner became ill and was unable to finish the job. He owed money to another guy and that's who I bought it from. When it sat in thebody shopfor a long time, some of the parts came up "missing." No problem. I bought a parts car, complete except for the engine. It is included in the deal. The engine in the original car, I'm told, runs very well. I have not tried to start it. It needs some wires hooked up. I just never got to it. Too many projects and no time or place to work on it, so I am forced to sell it at NO RESERVE! You will have plenty of parts to finish it with parts left over. I think I have a shop manual for it and it will be included in the deal.If you want the two cars shipped, you will have to make ALL the shippingarrangements. Otherwise, it may be picked up at my home in central Wisconsin. Please be a responsible bidder. I don't think you will be disappointed in this car. Winning bidder needs to contact me within 24 hrs. and full payment due in one week. Any questions? Feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer.
