For sale is a nice 1938 Chevy 2-door sedan. This car is in mostly original condition, including the engine, 3-speed manual transmission, body, etc. The car is in good condition for its age, with minor rust on the body and frame. The fenders are pretty solid, with some previous accident repairs.
The front floorboards are very rusty, but I have purchased and will include a complete new "flat floor" sheet metal replacement kit. The rear floor is OK. The frame is in good condition, with surface rust, and a couple of bigger rust spots, but fully usable. Most of the side windows are fogging out, but the windshield and rear glass is OK. The running boards are fiberglass replacements, in good condition.
This car is a great candidate for either restoration or street rod buildup. The car runs and is driveable ( I drove it several miles to storage last fall), but the brakes don't work too well, so a trailer will be needed. It is equipped with the original 216 cubic inch 6 cylinder, which was rebuilt many years ago according to the previous owner. The car has about 90,000 original miles. I purchased this car in northern Minnesota last fall with the intention of building a street rod, but have since changed focus, as I don't have the time to devote to it.
The car has had several owners, but has also been in storage for many years. The car was repainted at some point in its long life (I do have the paint code for it). It currently has '60's Mustang bucket seats, but the original buckets are also included. The interior is in fair condition, but mostly intact.
I have a clear MN title for the car. Buyer is to arrange shipping; the car is located near Minneapolis, MN. Buyer is required to submit a $500 payment within 48 hours of purchase, and full payment within 7 days. Check my feedback, buy with confidence, and thanks for looking!
