2008 Mustang Shelby GT500 GT 500, like GT500KR

Looks gorgeous in Vapor Silver clearcoat metallic with ebony stripes. Black leather interior. Unless you have hours to talk, don't try to wash this in your driveway because everyone in the neighborhood will stop by to talk and compliment!

This has beena pampered garage queen.Pristineinterior:no rips, no visible wear, no scratches, no fading. I can not find a blemish anywhere in the paint; it is as close to factory new as is possible. Deep gloss, no scratches, I can't even find any tiny rock chips. The only cosmetic flaws are a smidgen of curb rash on the edge of one rim and a bit more on another, as seen in the wheel pics.Tires have plenty of tread left, see close-up pics for detail of tires and rims.

Starts, idles, runs, turns, stops, and shifts as designed. All the electronics, power options, lights, etc. work as designed. The clutch feels solid; there is no slippage or stuttering.

The car has improvements to meet or exceed the $80,000 Shelby GT500KR specs. Springs from BMR suspensionto mimic the KR springs' ride height and spring rate; OEM Ford Racing Performance Products 3.73 ring & pinion identical to the KR; Barton Industries short shifter kit ($350) with factory-type stick, knob and very precise throws like the KR shifter; JLT Performance cold air intake; custom remap/tunesimilar to the KR. Includes all the stock parts (except the intake) in like-new condition if you want to sell them or return it to stock. The full stock exhaust was kept in place to keep the noise/emissions legal and to avoid highway drone; it sounds great with a nice burble at idle!

Factory options:

• Shaker 1000 audio with factory subwoofer in the trunk and Sirius satellite radio

• Ambient interior lighting (can change the colors)

• HID headlights

• Premium interior trim package (leather-wrapped dash top, upgraded door panels, auto-dimming rearview mirror and sport pedals)

Also includes a fitted Shelby car cover.
The only available option not purchased is navigation. I look at this as a positive - who wants a 2008 navigation system in their dash?

The handling, braking, and POWER are incredible. It makes immense torque from right off idle and has a wide powerband. I also own a ProChargedLS3 Camaro SS that is an amazing performance machine, but this Shelby beats it in every performance aspect.

With more power than any of the revered Shelby Mustangs of the 1960s, the 2008 Ford Shelby GT500 offers performance that's nothing short of intoxicating. Just as its specs suggest, the GT500 lunges forward with exotic-carlike verve when you boot the throttle. Gear changes are positive and crisp, and the overall driving experience can be either civilized or brutal, depending on your mood and how quickly you move your throttle foot.
