1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Hardtop 2-Door 6.5L

1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, A True SS, 396cui/360hp, 4 spd Muncie, 3.37 rears, A/C, Chevrolet Tach, Cragar Mags. Frame off restoration, rebuilt better than new. All undercarriage powder coated, A/C thru dash as from factory, all new tinted glass.

Purchased from original owner. Purchased new on Feb 21, 1966 from Chase Chevrolet, Sherman, TX. Carhas only been registered in Texas and Arkansas, except for one year at Clark Air Force Base, Philippines. Car was never wrecked or damaged. Paperwork to back up.

I initially rebuilt car to drive not to show, although car has won second place twice in Chevrolet's Performance Division at Hilton Head Island Concours (2013) and Houston Keels and Wheels (2014). Judge indicated to me that the chrome under the hood and modern battery prevented car from 1st place.

I have original red strip spare tire. Many spare parts, awards, paperwork come with car.

The original numbers matching engine was rebuilt to .040 over with original intake/exhaust.

Safety/comfort upgrades: four wheel power disk brakes (required 15" wheels, therefore era matching Cragar Mags)head rests, three point safety belts, and A/C.

Rides and drives better than when GM built it.
