NO RESERVE!
We are relisting the auction below the local scrap price!!
1994 Saturn SW2, DOHC, auto, 192,090 miles
Car Originally from Bethlehem PA, it then it moved to Youngstown OH where I bought it off eBay in 2007 from the last owner with 162K miles.
Back in PA it spent time as a "tuner" car, but the obvious bling (LED's, rope lights, etc) has been removed, and it is now a transportation car, parts hauler and rat rod. Has been driven on 500 mile round trips without issues.
Starts, runs, shifts, steers, rides fine. Drove it every day last year June thru November, 3000 miles while repairing my good car.
It has some good and not so good points:
Good:
Good battery (2yr economy version)
Good tires (decent tread, 40-60%, not all styles match)
New front rotors and brake pads (this year)
New resonator back exhaust (this year, NO CAT)
Good Pioneer MP3 stereo
Good interior, has optional center console storage pod, nonsmoking, no pets, no major rips/holes (some scars from removing LED's and a burn mark from some old previous owner/smoker)
Good engine, runs well, new air cleaner and spark plugs last year, uses one quart oil per 300 freeway miles, less if on side roads.
Good trans, shifts fine, no leaks
Good windshield, only has 2 rock chips, one is a star, no cracks, other glass fine
All windows work fine except passenger front window needs assist during last inch to close all the way (has all manual crank windows)
Better wheelcovers from last gen 2000-2002 SW2 series
Passed e-check for years, then they decided a few years ago that if the ABS light was on it could not be tested as it may be unsafe on the rollers (OBD 1 = roller test)...even though the ABS light was on for years, and they tested it fine for years like that. Will Not Pass Roller EPA inspection even with CAT.
Not so good:
4 wheel disk brake ABS not working and so the brake light stays on
AC not working, never did since 2007. Don't know why.
Exhaust has no cat since it cannot be sniffed, so it has been used and registered out of county and then used off-road
No rear wiper
Front frame has heavy duty preventative repair due to rust
Has road noise, rattles, not a quiet car
Paint has peeling clearcoat on hood, mostly gone, fenders in primer
Trying to describe accurately, do not want any unrealistic expectations. This would NOT be a good first car for your daughter/granddaughter/niece unless she is Shirley Muldowney or Danica Patrick, as it really needs gearhead owner to get the most out of it. This is a good car for someone who can turn a wrench and wants a fun to drive zombie car. Or, a great car for parts.
Have some spare parts for this car if interested, a spare 107K DOHC engine, wiring, radiator, etc. if interested...we can negotiate something.
Sold as-is, where-is. Paypal deposit $100 in 24 hours, must be picked up with cash balance within 10 days of auction end.
