Ford Mustang Shelby Hertz GT-H

Ford introduced theShelby GT-Hversion of the Mustang at the 2006New York Auto Show. Like the original GT350H from 1966, the GT-H featured gold-on-black paint and was only available at theHertzcar rental agency.

Ford Racing Performance Group provided Shelby its FR1 Power Pack to add 25 horsepower to the existing Mustang GT powertrain with an additional 10ft/lb of torque. The package included a 90mm cold air kit, muffler kit, a new X-pipe and Ford Racing "GTA" axle-back mufflers. The Ford Shelby GT-H also had the Ford Racing Handling Pack (FR3) which included specially tuned dampers, lowering springs, sway bars, strut tower brace, and a Ford Racing 3.55:1 ratio rear axle assembly.[20]

A total of 500 cars were built to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Shelby GT350H.[21]

For 2007, a convertible version of the GT-H was offered for rental at Hertz.[22]This time the convertibles came with a custom light bar reminiscent of the 1968 Shelby Mustang convertibles.

This car was retired from the Hertz fleet in August, 2008 with 20,848 miles. It was sold to a collector who displayed it with his extensive collection of other Shelbys, he never titled it in his name. While in his collection Carroll Shelby visited and signed the dash as you can see in the pictures. We bought the car from this collector in November of 2010 and have used it sparingly since, it has always been garaged. In the five plus years we've owned it it's gone less than 7,000 miles. When we got the car we sent to Hertz and got the original window sticker, dealer invoice, Shelby invoice, MSO copy and the metal dash plaque which was never installed when these cars were put into rental service. The car is completely stock, the body is straight, the paint is shiny and the stripes are not faded. The interior is in excellent condition and the car runs great, everything works as it should and there are no mechanical problems. All of the correct Hertz badging is in place and the security wire is still on the motor.

There is a clear title (in our name) on the car, it is currently registered and a smog certificate will be included for California buyers. The personalized license plates - 07H 043 stay with the car.

While we know of no problems with the car as with private party sales it is being sold as-is. Buyers are welcome to inspect the car prior to the auction end. You are bidding to buy the car, not the chance to inspect it and decide later. Buyers with less than 10 feedbacks must provide their contact information or your bid will be cancelled. Anyone retracting their bid will be blocked from any future bids on the car. I'm happy to work with your transporter but any arrangements and costs are the buyer's responsibility.

A non refundable $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction end via paypal. The balance is due within 7 days of auction end in the form of cash (in person, cashier's check or bank wire transfer. All funds will be verified before the car is released.
