Up for bid is a beautiful, one owner (before me) 1965 Cadillac coupe. I bought it from the original owner’s estate, where it was garaged its whole life. Through a piece of mail I found between the seats, it appears the original owner was a very active board member of the Italian Social Clubs of America, which were a force to bereckoned with back in the 1960’s.
For 1965 this car had very rare options including auto dimming headlights, Twilight Sentinal, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, automatic climate control, power locks and cruise. Additionally, this beauty has all theamenities you’d expect from a Cadillac including power windows, power seat, A/C, power brakes, and power steering. The 429 runs smooth and the transmission shifts effortlessly. This car boasts the original interior which is nearly perfect. I went through the whole car and serviced what could be, and replaced whatcouldn’t. If you want to buy one of these that won’t nickel and dime you to death, this one is it. In fact, this one nickeled anddimed me to the tune of $5000 in parts alone. This is good news for you because all the drivability issues have been resolved and its now a get-in-and-go car. On to the parts list:

• Period correct Appliance Fine Wires with Coker Classics (bought used, but nearly new withnubbiest on a couple of the tires)
• New recored original radiator
• New battery
• New water pump
• New alternator
• New Edelbrock 600 CFM w/electric choke
• New cooling hoses
• New thermostat
• New belts
• New air filter
• New brake master cylinder
• New EZ Air Ride
• New gas tank & sender
• New BC/CC paint job
• New weatherstripping
• New transmission modulator
• New fluids - oil, trans, brake, power steering

So what does it need? Its an old car, so it will always need something. The air conditioning needs to be gone through. It is 100% intact, but I’m not sure what it needs to be functional. The paint is new, but could really use a color sand and buff to get some runs in the clear out and some bits of trash. Its a driver quality job that could look great with some elbow grease. I have the side mirror assembly, but the mirror piece is broken off so I never reinstalled it after the paint job. The passenger side headlight trim is ordered and will be included with the car. The driver’s side vent window is missing the glass, but the frame assembly is intact. The trunk has a 3-5” hole behind each rear wheel. These could be patched easily. The remainder of the car is rock solid - frame, floors, etc.
I bought this car at the request of my now brother-in-law who wanted me to bring the groom’s party to the wedding venue in a classic car. Me being the Cadillac man, this is what I came up with. I just saw the green one on eBay go for $18K, so here is your second chance to get a beautiful, one year only style that you can buy and drive for a fraction of the price.
This vehicle is currently registered in VT (garaged in MA) and insured in my name. VT is a title-exempt state for vehicles of this age, so this vehicle will be sold with a bill of sale (notorized at your request) and a transferrable VT registration, which serves as proof/transfer of ownership. Please verify that this documentation satisfies your state’s requirements for titling/registration before bidding. Finally, I’m not a mechanic. I restore these Cadillacs for fun, so I strongly urge you to come view this vehicle before you bid, and bring your mechanic. **Update to description:

• All the weather stripping has been replaced, except for the roof rails (which are in terrible shape - see pics). I do have brand new roof rail weatherstrip kit (not installed) that I will include.
• I will include the original rims and tires if you’d like them.
• I will include the original hubcaps if you’d like them, though they are ahodgepodge of 1965-1967.
• I will include a fifth matching Appliance Fine Wire wheel complete withcenter cap (no tire).
• I will include the super rare Appliance lug wrench kit.
• I will include theoriginal Rochester carburetor with date tag. I rebuilt it but it always ran crappy. I suspect a bigvacuum leak from either a warped baseplate or worn throttle shaft.
