F21 years ago we dismantled this matching Numbers Corvette convertible and have been restoring ever since.
Frame is checked for straightness, sandblasted on outside, shot blasted on the inside, POR15 and body cavity wax coated. Then reassembled with all new bushings, springs, steering. The rear spring is from Vette Brakes and Products and is Poly Glass. Rear Ale universals were installed with hardened tips to ensure long wear when the rear end was rebuilt. Read Camber adjustments rods and tie rods are heavy duty from Vette Brakes and Products. All Brake Lines, fuel lines and emergency brake hardware are stainless steel.
The L48 engine was rebuilt to stock Specification as was the transmission and the rear end, with new universals. It still retains it's stock Quadrajet carburetor. and exhaust manifolds. The exhaust is from Allens Stainless and is chamber pipe front to back. so it sounds like side pipes.
Body is new paint in Dark Steel Blue Metallic, with subtle pin stripes. All Body to frame bushing and bolts have been replaced. Headlight assembles and power window assemblies were rebuilt. Front and rear bumper covers are fiberglass with the front bumper cover molded into the body. Taillights are new, top is new.
Interior is from Al Knoch specially made for this car with dark blue carpeting and correct silver color door panels and seat covers. The seats are from 1980 Corvette mounted to 1975 rails ( for better comfort)
Please note, there is no radio although the antenna wire and speaker are still in the car. (you get choose you own radio for the car) Also since A/C never worked well in these cars we chose not to reinstall the original A/C It is better to have aftermarket A/C installed if you need it in a convertible.
There are a few small issues we are still working out so please ask questions.
