This SL550 was purchased new for over $95,000 back in December of 2007! Clean Carfax with no accidents, all-original paint and body panels, and plenty of service at MB dealers. Only 4K pampered miles, TONS of options, and fully inspected with work done to get it ready to sell. It is in mint condition inside and out, and drives like a dream to 100MPH and beyond. I paid top-dollar to get this car because it beat every other SL550 I looked at for its combination of options, cosmetics, and mechanicals. There are beater SL’s, nice SL’s, and mint SL’s. This one is beyond mint. Here's the deal: -- This is a 2008 SL550 in ultra-rare Designo graphite metallic over cortecchia sin leather interior. This SL550 has only 4,xxx original miles, looks like a million bucks, and drives like a million bucks. This car was LOVED, and has NEVER had any paint or bodywork to its body panels. In fact, there hardly a single ding, dent, scuff, or scratch anywhere…it’s incredibly nice. -- -- Exterior 9.9 out of 10 (I'm finicky) - Fantastic overall condition original paint, body, glass, and trim. No dings. No dents. Only a tiny scuff to the underside of the front bumper that you have to be kneeling down and looking up to see. This car looks amazing, with a deep shine to the graphite metallic paint that's like looking into an endless mirror. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage. Imagine getting an 8 year old car with no swirl marks or spiderwebs in the paint….amazing! -- -- The lower side-body moldings are in great shape. The chrome, rubber, glass, and trim are all excellent and original. No oxidation, fade, wear, rust, etc. Look at the body panels.....they are laser straight. -- -- Here are some shots of the retractable hard-top in operation. Gorgeous! -- -- This car’s retractable hardtop is in excellent condition. No delamination to the rear window, no tears or pulls or fade to the headliner, the understructure is in great shape like it should be. -- -- This SL550 is HIGHLY optioned, including Designo colors and wood trim, AMG sport package, remote trunk closing, TPMS, keyless-go, parktronic, parktronic, panoramic roof, satellite radio, and Designo alcantara roof trim….wow! Almost every option you could get on a 2008 SL550!! And of course all the usual options like bi-xenon headlights, COMAND navigation, heated/ventilated multi-contour seats, and much much more. -- Now let's get to the good stuff......only 4K miles!! The owner of this car had many other luxury cars to choose from (see my other auctions), so none of them got driven very much. However, this car still went to the dealer for its service, and the recent inspection and repair put it into 100% selling condition. -- -- The 18” AMG multi-spoke OEM wheels are in great shape. The staggered Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires are 255/40/18 in front and 285/35/18 in the rear. They have 95% tread remaining, but are the original 8 year old tires. At the BIN price I will include a new set of staggered performance tires as well, mounted and balanced. This SL550 also has a fresh alignment and Hunter Roadforce balancing of all four tires. It goes arrow-straight down the road at high speed with no shimmy, pull, or anything else. -- -- Interior 9.9 out of 10 - The interior overall including all leather, seat padding, dash, console, wood, and carpets are in great original condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, nearly zero wear of any kind on the leather. Everything looks and feels great. This is not a sun-worn southern SL..this car is a super low mile garage queen and it shows. No detailing yet either, this is just after a wash and a vacuum. -- -- The door panels and wood trim are also in great shape, like the rest of the car. -- -- Even the trunk is mint. -- -- Check it out with top down, ready to cruise at cruise-missile speeds on a sunny summer day. – -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory/pulse, top motors, and power mirrors work perfectly. Vacuum lock system, COMAND navigation, remote key, xenon/exterior/interior lights all operating as they should. -- -- The HVAC system is fast to respond, and operates perfectly with scalding hot heat and ice-cold A/C. Seat heaters and A/C all working properly. – they should. -- -- Mechanical 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. Transmission is smooth yet very aggressive, and downshifts eagerly. No abrupt engagement, just silky smooth shifts. She runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. There are no leaks....NONE. -- -- This SL550 has 382HP. This car is plenty quick on the road. – -- This SL550 just passed an authorized MB dealer inspection, needing only a battery and a front signal acquisition module (SAM) to be ready to sell. It’s ready to go for its new owner. -- -- Engine is strong and VERY eager to run, transmission smooth and ready to drop down two gears at your command to rocket you past slower traffic. Brakes are solid and pedal feel is firm. ABC suspension is tight like new, no worn tie rod ends, ball joints, struts, or anything else. Steering nicely weighted with no play in the box. ZERO leaks or noises. This car drives and handles like new, because, well, with 4K miles, it IS new! -- -- This SL550 comes with books, mats, tools, clean carfax, and its MB warranty and post-warranty service records.
