Description |
---|
This car was imported new from Mexico in 1982. It has been in Texas most of its existence. Although the car is actually a 1982 model year, it is more like a 1975 US Beetle. The VIN is not a valid US VIN, so I listed it as a 1975 model year; otherwise eBay would reject the listing due to the VIN problem. A photo of the actual VIN is included in the listing.
The car has been mostly disassembled, but is still drive-able on non public roads. The last 2 photos are what it used to look like prior to paint damage. All the parts, trim, and handles are included. The interior is in very good shape, and it is the original fabric interior.
The front blinkers are located in the bumper and the rear ones a large and contain turn, tail and backup as separate elements, see last photo. All trim components have been removed from the car in preparation for painting. The bumpers are a little bent but the chrome is in good shape.
It was not driven much, which is why it has such low miles. The paint job suffered when it was stored in a barn where bat droppings covered it. The body frame is in very good condition, there is very little rust. It was never driven in the northern winters.
It is possible that I can deliver the car within a reasonable distance from south central PA. Contact me in advance for delivery charge.
The car is available to be driven off road for a test drive, or a local mechanic of your choice at your expense is welcome to inspect it.
