1962 Cadillac Series 62 Four-door Hardtop Sedan

390 CID V-8 engine (325 hp) Four-speed Hydramatic automatic transmission Air-conditioning 42,227 actual miles, according to the previous owner Olympic White exterior Blue-gray interior Power windows and power front bench seat

MotoeXotica is proud to offer this gorgeous white on blue-gray 1962 Cadillac Series 62 Four-door Hardtop Sedan. With just 42,227 miles on the clock, it has a 390 CID V-8 engine making 325 horsepower, and is mated to a Hydramatic 400 four-speed automatic transmission. All options are present – air-conditioning, power steering, power brakes, power windows and power front bench seat.

We are selling this vehicle for a client who is the vehicle’s third owner and he states the mileage is actual.

Finished in Olympic White, the paint glistens in the sun and the wiper arms and cowl tray sparkle. All four headlights are clear and intact, as are the turn signals and wraparound windshield. The taillights are nearly perfect. Driver’s side reverse light in inoperable. In the rear, there is a center locking fuel filler door. The chrome bumpers and door handles are in great shape. The car rides on P235/75R15 Broadway Classic radial tires with steel wheels capped by Cadillac crown hubcaps.

Inside, the blue-gray interior calms the driver as he puts his feet on the white Cadillac floor mat with blue logo. He adjusts the power bench seat, lowers his driver’s side window and adjusts the sideview mirror. There’s a later model Cadillac-branded AM/FM stereo with cassette deck and two speakers in the rear package shelf. Strip speedometer, fuel and temperature gauges complete the dashboard instruments but the clock is inoperable. The car is equipped with air-conditioning and the fan runs but does not blow cold air and the dashboard slide lever is broken. There are three other floormats identical to the driver’s and a pair of grab handles mounted on the front seatback for rear passengers to use. Car includes Missouri Historical Vehicle license plates.

The Cadillac Series 62 were produced from 1940 through 1964. Originally designed to replace the Series 65, it became the Cadillac Series 6200 in 1959 and remained that until it was renamed Cadillac Calais for the 1965 model year.

A mild facelift characterized Cadillac 1962 styling trends. A flatter grille with a thicker horizontal center bar and more delicate cross-hatched insert appeared. Ribbed chrome trim panel, seen ahead of the front wheel housings in 1961, were now replaced with standard cornering lamps and front fender model and series identification badges were eliminated. More massive front bumper end pieces appeared and housed rectangular parking lamps. At the rear, tail lamps were now housed in vertical nacelles designed with an angled peak at the center. A vertically ribbed rear beauty panel appeared on the deck lid latch panel. Cadillac script also appeared on the lower left side of the radiator grille. All short deck Cadillac models went from being six-window sedans in 1961 to four-window sedans in 1962 and 1963. Standard equipment included all of last year’s equipment plus remote controlled outside rearview mirror, five tubeless black wall tires, heater and defroster and front cornering lamps. Cadillac refined the ride and quietness, with more insulation in the floor and behind the firewall.

Examples of this car’s competition included the Chrysler New Yorker four-door hardtop, the Chrysler Imperial four-door hardtop, the Mercedes-Benz 300SE sedan and the Jaguar Mark X Sedan.

Get noticed behind the wheel of this big body 1960s classic, which has plenty of room to take family or friends with you on short jaunts or day trips. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!!!

Current mileage on the odometer shows 42,227 actual miles according to the previous owner and which is reportedly original to the car, it is sold as is with a mileage exempt Missouri title.
