I bought this car about 10 yrs ago, Over those years I slowly restored it, Vehicle was a rust free Texas car with 21,000 miles.Car sat since 1974 before I purchased it in 2006,
During its restoration I searched for NOS parts. Tried to use original FoMoCo parts when I could find them. Very little aftermarket items used during restoration, Car is restored from top to bottom. First the car wasstripped by being sent out and dipped so no metal was ground on. Everything was near perfect. Doors trunk quarters floors et, all rust free andoriginal . I sent out all instrument clusters and clock to have restored and interior was done locally. Every single part on the drivetrain has been rebuilt.Engine is believed to be original, Trans is not, All date codes match the production date of car being built. All within 30 days. I am an engine builder and did motor, Little extras I did was add the Super Cobra Jet lemans rods to make sure itwouldn't come apart. Has adjustable valves as well, All machine work was done by Kieth Craft who is one of the best FE engine guys. Trans has beenrebuilt but is not original to car. It is a correct C-6 automatic with Rservo and heavy duty interior parts. Rear end was rebuilt as well with all new ring and pinion.I spared nothing on car while I worked on it. NOTHING on this car needs replaced, everything has been rebuilt or replaced.
The reason Im selling, Car has just sat in garage for last 5 yrs,Overtime when I decide to go for a drive Ineed to get it running since it sits for years, I also have no time to finish car, There is very little to be done, Just some little things,finding NOS door panel emblems etc, small things, I have driven car about 200 miles since finished, Ihaven't found the time to even enjoy car. I decided to sell all my cars except one so I can enjoy them,. This Mustang is too nice for me to drive, too worried someone will give it door ding. Paint is perfect from top to bottom.Absolutelyflawless close to 20K for paint alone. Newowner just needs to take the time to find a few remaining parts or buyaftermarket, And drive it like it deserves.
According to Marti report this is a one of one car, Car is a non A/C car, Automatic, Posi drum brakes, A/M 8 track (also restored)
