Description

For sale is my 1987 Chevrolet C10/ R10 Short Box Pickup. This truck is a "Very Well Built" ultimate thumbs -up street machine.

ENGINE: very stout 383 Chevrolet pushing out over 500HP, engine bay clean detail and equipped with a late model 4 Bolt roller cam block, full Scat Balanced Rotating assembly Probe Forged Pistons, H Beam Rods – 7/16 cap screw, Edelbrock Aluminum Cylinder Heads and Hydraulic Roller Cam, Full Roller Valvetrain, Edelbrock Air Gap Intake, Holley 750 CFM HP Carburetor, Screened oil pan, Serpentine Belt System, Pertronix ignition system, Hedman 1 3/4 full length headers and complete 3” exhaust system with Magnaflow mufflers.

TRANSMISSION: Core was 1991 700r4 taken out of a 4x4 converted to a 2wheel drive by changing tailshaft and housing. I bought the best Monster in a Box transmission kit and had a local racing transmission guy install these parts. Shifts firm through all gears and does hold. Converter is a TCI with 3500 stall and a balloon plate and is a lock-up converter. B&M floor Ratchet shifter works great.

Tranny fluid cooling starts with a Meziere pan with cooling tubes and additional capacity then it goes to the aluminum radiator and then to a plate cooler in front of the radiator before returning to the transmission.

DRIVELINE: Truck rides on Weld Wheels – 7” in front and 10” in rear with Mickey Thompson 325/50/15 Drag Radials. Rear end is a 12 Bolt truck rear end with 4:11 gears and an Eaton Posi (it holds) spinning after-market "10" axles. Pinion has forged yoke driven by a SSR ALUMINUM Driveshaft (bought new). Traction Bars that really work – no wheel hop.

GENERAL:This truck was recently painted it’s original red and coated with clear. Drip rails and exterior mirrors were removed as was exterior trim. New windshield. Interior was removed for paint as was the bed. New insulation in the doors and under the carpet. New Carpet. New Door Rubber. It is relatively quiet going down the road – mostly what you hear is exhaust. Front end ball joints replaced – goes straight. Truck is fully optioned with P/S, P/B, P/W, P/DL, Tilt Wheel, Factory A/C 134a (That Blows Cold – new compressor), Alpine AM/FM Stereo + CD, Dual Tanks. Interior of the truck is outfitted with the correct cloth bench seat (perfect condition – not faded) and is also outfitted with 5” Tach with shift light.

I would encourage anyone interested to come and inspect this truck in person and test drive (This truck is a rocket and an absolute blast to drive). This is "NOT" a cheap thrown together C-10, it is a "Very" nice piece. 500.00 due within 48 hours of auction end. This vehicle is listed in other venues and could be removed at anytime.

This truck had a lot of time, Money and effort invested. AS Usual: "FAR MORE" invested then I am asking. Take a look at my rating score - I do not sell junk or mis-represent an item for sale.
