Description

1968 Corvette Stingray Convertible: Correct LeMans Blue (repainted) with matching interior and white convertible top. No dings/dents/scratches on exterior. Seats (reupholstered) and door-panels in outstanding condition, no cracks in dash etc. Carpet, mats, and top also very nice/newer. 84,000 miles with rebuilt 327 4bbl engine and 4-spd. trans. (numbers matching- see picture of casting 3914678) Engine built with a mild cam, but idles nice at 800rpm. Quite speedy! New power-steering pump, brake booster, master cylinder, brake pads, (like new)tires, and rebuilt carb. Has factory A/C but bearing out on compressor also needs turn-signal switch (blinkers work manually), also has minor exhaust leak in exhaust elbows- not obnoxious, but it can be heard (I factored a $250 allowance into the reserve price for new duals so you can pick the mufflers). Have an owner's manual. This is a very sound and striking car that goes down the road straight. VERY LOW RESERVE!!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I just uncovered the engine pad revealing an additional piece of information regarding the engine number. (picture posted) It is stamped VIIOIHP. Depending on your resource this indicates this is a 327-350 horsepower engine with a 4-spd, factory air, and power steering I have gotten different answers from multiple sources so do your own research, but it does correspond with the VIN and indicates that the engine was built at the same time as the car so along with the other casting number, demonstrates that it is a matching engine.
