For sale is my beloved 1966 Buick Lesabre. I pray someone will fix her, but she'll make a great parts car.
The engine and transmission are removed because she suffered a cupped lifter. I pulled the 350 cid engine to check the cylinder walls for scoring... they look great. Block and heads are in excellent shape. Bearings, crank and pistons are all great. 4-barrel rochester carb and TA performance aluminum intake. A simple camshaft and lifters and the engine will be ready to rock again.
Transmission is my favorite- Super Turbine 400 or "switch pitch." If interested I could put you in contact with a man who builds custom controls for this unit.
The seats are shot- they need to be reupholstered. Dash is cracked. Headliner and visors look good. Floor pans and firewall look great. Paint job from 2010 looks great. There is a bit of rust over the passenger side rear wheel. That spot on the vehicle is the rust spot... corner of the trunk needs attention as does the chassis in that region.
I love this car and I planned to fix her but I let her sit awhile and now I have a daughter and another child on the way.
All one needs to do is address some of the rust on the chassis and rear passenger quarter and drop a camshaft and lifters in and off you go. This car gets all the attention everywhere she goes even though she's the less desirable 4-door... that just means she's a driver and not a trailer-queen. And she drove like a dream... fun, handling and comfort.
Message me with any questions. Happy bidding.
