1996 Porsche 993 C4S
Heavily modified car, all recently done. For collector looking for something different you will not be disappointment. Over $60,000 invested.
Engine
- Ninemeister cylinder heads, with Ninemeister mechanical lifters, Ninemeister valves and titanium retainers (at a cost of GBP 6,500!). See links below for a description of the Ninemeister heads997 GT3 crankshaft, matching lightweight Pauter rods and GT3 oil pump (good to rev well past 8,000 rpm, per André. Current cut-off is around 7,8000)
- 993 3.8 RSR pistons & cylinders, bore-in kit (with engine case machined accordingly) [note: I chose these Pistons as they are the most durable choice and least noisy]
- 3.8 RSR camshaft [selected as a mild camshaft, good for the street with low end torque but also producing power up to 7,800 rpm).
- Rothsport custom intake with GT3 plenum over individual throttle bodies[see attached parts list and invoice. Crazy!!]
- Fabspeed headers with heat, connected to a GT3 centre muffler with custom vacuum flaps programmed through Motec ECU. Above 4,500 RPM or above 50% load, valves open and exhaust goes through large muffler pipe without going through catalytic converter. Otherwise, goes through loop and catalytic converter. See attached picture and video.
- Motec M84 ECU with custom harness and many, many hours of tuning performed by Karim
- result: 369.5 HP as tested by Lachute Performance Dyno. See attached Dyno chart.
Transmission
- Disclaimer: I can't speak as well to the transmission and all the pieces in there, but André has rebuilt everything in it and is well familiar.
- Guards Transmission two-piece 997 cup main shaft (to allow changing first and second gear)
- Custom gears to achieve short and close gear ratios as demonstrated in attached chart
- FD Motorsport golden rod and short shift kit
- FD Motorsport two-wheel drive conversion kit
