Recent valve job!
Its factory original color was sand beige metallic, though it was painted red ~25 years ago. A fresh paint job will transform this beauty into as good of a car you can expect to find these days. The original rubber trunk mats which are now so hard to find have been nicely preserved. Click to enlarge any of the photos below. A link to a slideshow of all the enlarged photos is available at the bottom of the page. |
This vehicle has been in storage and hasn't been driven for the past 12 years. It drives amazingly well considering how long it's been in storage. The transmission shifts well and the engine does not overheat, as we have driven it on long trips & uphill, and we haven't yet encountered any mechanical complications. Both power windows work nicely and window motors are quiet in action. We have noticed, however, a couple of electrical issues, and it's our goal to be absolutely transparent about these small imperfections, because nobody deserves to have any unpleasant surprises. The gas gauge and tachometer don't appear to be working, and the turn signal lights work only if you move the switch up and down. |
The right rear trunk small panel is a bit rusty, but it's typical of all these cars as water collects under the small rubber mats. |
We are in possession of all receipts for recent valve job and other maintenance & repairs. |
In addition to rear brake caliper replacements, drive line center support, power steering box reseal, and a total of 96 new parts, a full valve job was performed only a few years ago. 22,000 miles have been driven since this extensive work was done by one of the most reputable Mercedes shops in Santa Barbara, totalling $6,426.50. A separate receipt for a brand new fuel pump shows $648.50 paid. |
In July of 2016, the following extensive work was just completed: |
