Description

Very good original condition. Car was repainted same color at some point, but don't know when. Moderate rust in a few spots (see photos) - bottom of inside doors, at lower rear window, and in front of left rear wheel well. Good tires, new Goodyears on rear. Gets 17-19 mpg combined city/hwy.
Runs strong for V-6, drives smooth and about like new. Fairly quiet with windows up.
Have original radio, right mirror, lower rear window trim piece (removed to stop junk from getting in there, promoting rust)
Bought this in March 2010 from a neighbor with 70600 miles on it - was a "barn find" [just saw ebay AutoCheck says the car was reported to have 144K miles in 2005, but car doesn't seem like it has an extra 100K on it]. Has been garaged ever since - maybe driven twice in snow over past 6 years. Got a 93 GMC V6 pickup to replace my 88 GMC V8 gas hog so don't drive this much anymore - wanting to reduce the number of cars I have.
Issues shown in last 16 photos:
1) window sweeps need replacing
2-4) surface rust at bottom of inside doors and along bottom of rear window (worst spot is shown)
5) top of dashboard cracked - needs cover
6-8) a few paint chips (worst in photo 7)
9) plastic piece by front bumper is paint peeled (never in an accident that I know of, but when I got the car this wasn't tucked under bumper)
10) window rubber has a torn spot
11) driver's seat belt latch cover is cracked
12) worst rust spot in front of driver side rear wheel well - this may go all the way through
13) hood ornament doesn't have "GMC" on back side
14) driver's window missing guide clip at top
15) dome light housing not attached
16) driver's seat worn, side vinyl has tear
Other issues:
1) moderate oil leak at front seal - not leaving oil drops now but it had in the past
2) alternator is new and battery charges fine/always starts right up, but lights dim when idling with heater on
3) heater core and blower motor are new, but heat not so warm in winter (I put cardboard in front of radiator)
4) AC works but freon leaks (I charge it up at beginning of season)
5) right door mirror is missing. I have painted mirror but not the mounting grommet
6) square inserts on driver's door pull are missing
7) "sticky" GM rubber steering wheel has cover on it
8) cruise control works but is not stable (a scanner shows computer seeing erratic speed)
9) when turn on AC, a vent "slaps" after a few seconds
10) bed scratched/some dents - most dents on inside of tailgate
11) ~1" spot of clear coat on hood is dulled from bird poop (hard to see)
12) one of the wheel trim rings doesn't match
13) "GMC" wheel hubs are aftermarket replacements
Parts that I've replaced:
1) cap, rotor
2) installed rear Moog cargo coils
3) harmonic balancer (original outer ring had slipped, couldn't set timing accurately)
4) CD player
5) heater core, blower motor
6) alternator
