Description

Selling my 1981 Ford Bronco with original 85k miles. Original 351M with C6. Factory paint still shines with metallic, always garaged. One of only 1219 Broncos built in 1981 with the Chromatic (reflective) Tape Stripe option (most will recognize the '79 models with teh chromatic stripes, but the '81 models were much, much less common). I'm an aficionado for the '81 Broncos optioned with this stripe package, and have been hunting them for a few years. The 81 versions of these stripes did not hold up to the sun as well as the '79s, most of the 81s I find are very faded. These colors are nice, with only some fading on the driver's side up top. They reflect great at night still. I found this truck about 6 years ago online but missed the chance to purchase it - and then came across it again about 2 years ago and brought it home. The factory upholstery is in amazing shape, as is the rest of the original interior. There are a few rust areas down low on the 1/4s above the exhaust pipes (pretty common) and some at the bottom of the tailgate.

It has a loaded Marti report including factory option CB radio, extremely rare. The CB is still present, and will turn on, but I'm not sure how to use it. Also notice that being optioned this way, it has a factory CB integrated antenna mast. This bronco also has the rare Trailer Special option as well (see emblems below the "bronco" stript on the fenders)

It runs and drives like a virtually new truck, very smooth going down the highway. I had the A/C System completely rebuilt and blows ice cold (rebuilt compressor, new condenser, etc) - it has been converted to 134r. I had the original wagon wheels powder coated with new 31” tires. You won’t find another bronco as highly optioned in un-restored original condition ready to drive or show. I can provide a copy of the Marti report upon request. This is an ultra rare bronco. You'll never find another optioned this way, and they are only original like this once. I'm selling to gain a garage space back for one of my other Broncos I'm finishing up. No trades, sorry. Located in Austin, Texas and has a clear title in my name. Sold as is. Call with any questions: Chris (512)983-6184
