EVERY SUMMER AROUND THIS TIME I LIST ONE OR TWO ANTIQUE OR VINTAGE CLASSIC AUTOMOBILES THAT ARE EITHER MY OWN OR OWNED BY CLOSE FRIENDS FROM OUR CAR CLUB. THESE ARE AUTOMOBILES THAT HAVE BEEN OWNED FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND CARED FOR AS SUCH. NONE OF THE AUTOMOBILES THAT I LIST ARE BEING FLIPPED SIMPLY FOR A PROFIT. THESE HAVE BEEN OWNED BY OLDER GENTLEMEN AND TREATED WELL OVER THE YEARS.

THIS TRIUMPH IS A 4 OWNER CAR WHICH HAS RESIDED IN WESTERN MONTANA MOST OR ALL OF IT'S LIFE.
IN 1978 WITH THE 3RD OWNER HIS GARAGE WAS BROKEN INTO BY SOME KIDS AND THEY POURED SUGAR IN THE CRANK CASE AND POURED 80-90 OVER THE INTERIOR AND THE CAR SAT FROM 1978 WITH 29000 MILES ON IT UNTIL 2003 WHEN HE PASSED AWAY AND THEN WAS PURCHASED IN 2003 BY IT'S CURRENT OWNER.
IN 2003 THE ENGINE WAS FULLY REBUILT INCLUDING A RESURFACED HEAD,NEW GUIDES,SEATS,VALVES,SPRINGS,RETAINERS,CAM,ROCKERS AND SHAFTS,PISTONS,BEARINGS AND WATER PUMP WITH THE ENTIRE ENGINE BEING BALANCED INCLUDING A NEW CLUTCH,PILOT BUSHING WITH SLAVE AND MASTER CYLINDERS ALL WITH 25,000 MILES ON IT TO DATE.
THE REAR END WAS SWAPPED FOR A HIGHER GEARED POSI UNIT FROM A INFINITI Q45 WITH A 3:70 GEAR RATIO WITH PRO BUILT MOUNTING BRACKETS AND MOUNTS WITH UP GRADED STANDARD SHOCKS REPLACING THE OLD KNEE ACTION SHOCKS WITH NEW U-JOINTS IN THE DIFFERENTIAL AND IN THE DRIVESHAFT WITH OF COURSE THE SHAFT BEING BALANCED.
THE ORIGINAL REAR END ALSO GOES WITH THE CAR IF THE CARRIER CAN TRANSPORT IT OUTSIDE THE CAR. THE REAR END CAN NOT BE PACKAGED FOR SHIPMENT. THE REAR BRAKES WERE ALSO REPLACED WITH NEW WHEEL BEARINGS.
THERE ARE ALSO BRAND NEW DRILLED AND SLOTTED ROTORS WITH NEW BRAKE LINES AND PADS THAT WERE PURCHASED FOR THE FRONT AND NEVER INSTALLED.
THE TIRES WERE REPLACED IN 2015 AND ARE MOUNTED ON 15X6 PANASPORT RACING WHEELS.
THIS CAR RUNS STEERS AND DRIVES LIKE A 50,000 CAR IN ALL RESPECTS.
THE INTERIOR WAS ALSO COMPLETELY PROFESSIONALLY REUPHOLSTERED WITH A PREMIUM KIT FROM THE ROADSTER FACTORY INCLUDING THE TOP AND CARPETS. AS YOU CAN SEE THE INTERIOR LOOKS JUST LIKE IT CAME FROM THE FACTORY.A AFTER MARKET TACH WAS INSTALLED BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL TACH TENDS TO HESITATE MOST OF THE TIME.
THE BODY RETAINS THE ORIGINAL PAINT AND IS OVERALL IN VERY GOOD CONDITION AND VERY NICE CONSIDERING IT'S AGE.THE ONLY KNOWN REPAIRS TO THE PAINT IS THE LEFT SIDE WAS REPAINTED MANY YEARS AGO FROM THE BELT LINE DOWN FROM A DEER SLIDING DOWN SIDE OF THE CAR AND THE PAINT IS A PERFECT MATCH. IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW THAT THE AREA WAS REPAINTED YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW IT. THE THE PAINT HAS A NICE SHINE BUT IN THE BRIGHT LIGHT YOU CAN SEE A WHITE HAZE WHERE THE PAINT WOULD BENEFIT FROM A PROFESSIONAL BUFFING. YOU WILL NOTICE THE LITE PAINT CHIPS ON THE FRONT FROM BUGS AND THERE ARE A FEW SMALL PAINT CHIPS ON THE HOOD THAT HAVE BEEN TOUCHED UP AND A FEW LITE SCRATCHES HERE AND THERE THAT HAVE COME IN THE LAST 45 YEARS WITH ONE DING IN THE TRUNK.
THESE FRAMES ARE WELL KNOWN FOR RUSTING OUT AND THIS FRAME AND ENTIRE BODY IS FREE OF ANY RUST THROUGH ANYWHERE.
YOU WILL BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND A NICE AND TIGHT OLDER TR-6 THAT IS A LOW MILEAGE AUTOMOBILE LIKE THIS ONE WITH ONLY A FEW PAINT CHIPS WITH A EXCELLENT INTERIOR AND TOP AND A FRESHER FULLY REBUILT DRIVE TRAIN THAT HAS HAD THE SAME OWNER FOR THE LAST 14 YEARS.
