This vehicle was purchased new by the City of Champaign and used by the Public Works Department. The vehicle currently has 42,919 miles & was removed from service in August 2016 as part of our normal vehicle rotation cycle. The vehicle appears to drive well with no apparent issues present. The tires have approximately 60 - 70% tread remaining and the rear tires are in need of replacement.

The exterior is in an overall fair condition. The front bumper finish has oxidized due to the overall age of the vehicle. The hood has some minor scratches, with a slightly larger scratch on the passenger side edge that is approximately 2-3 inches in length. The driver door has a few minor scratches/dings. The driver side b-pillar have a scratch that is approximately 6-7 inches in length. There are a few scratches & dings on the edges of the truck bed cover. The driver side of the bed has some scratches present. The tailgate has multiple small scratches/dings present. The rear bumper is worn and has surface rust present. The passenger side of the bed has some scratches present & minor rusting at the front edge of the wheel well. The passenger door has some dings present. The passenger side front fender has a scratch approximately 3-4 inches in length present.

The interior is in fair condition. The top of the dashboard is cracked from the front edge to the windshield in two areas. The vinyl seat on the driver side edge of the bench is beginning to wear through. The headliner had been previously removed and painted gray due to prior wear.

This vehicle was serviced on a120-day preventive maintenance cycle. It was last serviced in Jan 2016, at 42,418 miles. Other repairs to this vehicle include the following items. In July 2016, at 42,715 miles, the brake light switch was replaced. In Oct 2014, at 41,671 miles, the left rear brake light bulb was replaced. In Apr 2014, at 40,895 miles, the battery & both wiper blades were replaced. In Dec 2012, at 39,555 miles, the left rear turn signal bulb was replaced. Also in mid-Dec 2012, at 39,507 miles, the right rear turn signal bulb was replaced. In Aug 2012, at 38,582 miles, an exhaust clamp & both front tires were replaced. In Apr 2009, at 31,116 miles, the spark plugs were replaced. In Apr 2008, at 28,934 miles, the air conditioner evaporator, heater core, condenser & hose assembly were replaced. Also in Apr 2008, at 28,910 miles, the wiper blades & serpentine belt were replaced. In Dec 2007, at 28,084 miles, both bulbs in the third brake light were replaced. In Sep 2007, at 27,053 miles, the air conditioner system was recharged. In Dec 2006, at 24,348 miles, the third brake light bulbs, right rear back up light bulb, & front brake pads were replaced. Also, the front brake rotors were turned & two tires were repaired. In Aug 2006, at 23,366 miles, the front tires were replaced. In Dec 2005, at 21,180 miles, the left front tire was repaired. In Aug 2005, at 19,346 miles, the front brake pads were replaced. In July 20015, at 18,757 miles, two tires were replaced. In Dec 2004, at 14,835 miles, the driver door mirror glass was replaced. In Apr 2005, at 16,792 miles, the front crankshaft seal & serpentine belt were replaced. In Nov 2003, at 10,897 miles, the passenger side door mirror glass was replaced. In May 2003, at 9,432 miles, the passenger side door mirror glass was replaced. In Jun 2002, at 6,773 miles, a recall (# B04) was completed at the local Dodge dealership. In Aug 2000, the driver door mirror glass was replaced.

This vehicle can be viewed between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding national holidays, at the City of Champaign Public Works Department, 702 Edgebrook Drive, Champaign, Illinois. The vehicle must be picked up between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday at the same location.

The City of Champaign is required to sell all vehicles through an auction process. We cannot accept “Buy It Now” offers or trades.
