Exterior: This car still appears to have most of its original Silver paint. The paint is very worn and is in need of attention. The car appears to be very solid structurally with no signs of rust. It appears may have been an accident in then rear as it has been primered red? Please take a look at the pictures. It still retains its original European spec bumpers. The targa top is in nice shape, but the back plastic window was weathered and needs to be replace.
Engine/Transmission: This car does start and drive. It makes nice power and shifts through the gears smoothly. It is a 4speed manual transmission.I never took it on a long drive, but it sounds great with its factory dual exhaust. It has a new Catalytic converter installed. I am not sure if this car will pass smog in California. The ignition switch a couple tries to engage the starter motor.
Interior: This car still has its European gauges and Alpina shift knob. The seats are rather worn and incorrect for this car. The driver side door panel is off as a new window regulator was put in. It has not been put back on, but is included in the trunk with all of the hardware.
Overall: This is a great project. The car is a running driving early 323i that can be restored as it is driven. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
