Selling a 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza 110 Sedan. The long story short is I bought it a year ago to fully restore and simply lost interest and am moving on to another project. I purchased the car from the Corvair Ranch located near Gettysburg, PA. Great guys and they will have anything you need including advice. All rust has been fixed. Fenders replaced. The car runs, shifts and drives.
The paint(interior and exterior) is only one month old. The color is Chevrolet Blue Me Away and it really "pops" in the sun! The interior trim plastics are included and are painted to match. I have color matched touch up paint also. I have
over $5800 invested in parts and paint. It still needs buffed(I may also do that prior to sale).
I have the rear windshield. The front windshield needs replaced and then both installed. The car is 3/4 done, the windshields and interior needs completed. Basically almost the entire suspension is new, the underside rust fixed and sealed(lots of hours in this!).
The temporary car seat covers come with it. (I have the rear seat and seat cover, just didn't put it back in yet. I will also include a vintage Haynes Shop manual and PDFs of the factory manuals. The car starts, runs and drives. Carbs need synced, brakes balances out and aligned.
Note: The speedometer needs looked at. Most likely the cable needs replaced(I may do it by time of sale). The odometer reads 7324. Not sure when the cable may have broken so milage is not accurate.
All the electrics that are in the car work (horn, lights, signals, dash).
It has been in my shop being worked on and not stored outside since the restoration started.
Items replaced/upgraded:
Rocker Arm tube O-rings(no more oil leak!)
All Shocks replaced
All suspension bushings
Alignment bolts and sleeves
Master cylinder
All brake lines
Ball joints
Chrome wheel rims and tires
Complete exhaust system
All pan gaskets
Trunk Weather stripping
Gas tank sealed with new rubber gas line
Stock rims replaced with wider chrome rims. Tires like new!
In short, this is a great project to finish at a reasonable cost for a vintage car! Corvairs are one of the least expensive restorations you can do. Lots of parts and suppliers.
