Up for sale is this very desirable 1996 Chevrolet Corvette LT-4 Collector Edition

Convertible with the ZF 6-speed manual transmission and only 20,000 miles. It is

finished in the stunning and exclusive Collector's Edition color of Sebring Silver

with a matching light gray interior and a black convertible top. The Corvette

Collector Edition is immediately recognizable thanks to its exclusive chromed

emblems, 17' five-spoke aluminum wheels, black Corvette logo brake calipers and

leather sport seats with "Collector Edition" embroidery.

The car is powered by the optional LT-4 330 (underrated) horsepower, high

performance engine...an upgrade that was only available in 1996 Corvettes

equipped with the six speed manual transmission and exclusive to the 1996

Grand Sport models, Collector Editions and specially ordered manual

transmission cars. LT4 equipped Corvettes can be distinguished by an 8000 rpm

tachometer with a red-line at 6300 rpms.

The High Output LT-4 engine features a multitude of distinct performance

advantages over the standard LT1 Corvette engine. These features include a

more aggressive cam with matched roller rockers, hollow valve stems and high

performance valve springs. The high compression ratio of 10.8:1 is handled by a

race type cast iron crankshaft. Externally, the LT-4 engine is easy to identify with

specific appearance features including a red intake manifold, red coil and spark

plug wires, "Corvette" lettering in red on the valve covers and red "Grand Sport"

lettering on the throttle-body cover.

This car has only been driven 20,000 miles (just 1,000 miles per year), is accident

free and has a clean Carfax report. This is a super clean, original and

meticulously well maintained example of a very collectible Corvette. Chevrolet

built 21,536 Corvettes in 1996. Of those, there were only 157 Collector Edition

Convertibles produced with the LT-4 Grand Sport engine and the color matching

light gray interior.

The previous owner is one of our regular customers and kept a book complete

with every piece of paperwork and every service record for this car...dating all the

way back to the original special order purchase contract, dealer invoice and

factory order sheets. Oil changes were completed and service was performed

every year (whether it was needed or not).

In the past year the car has been through a complete service, including having

every fluid flushed, new Continental tires and new front brakes installed...simply

because the car was 20 years old. It has always been stored in a garage with a car

cover and battery tender (both included). You will be challenged to find a nicer,

cleaner 1996 LT4 Corvette Convertible anywhere else.
