2004 Pontiac Vibe Base Wagon 4-Door 1.8L - ALL WHEEL DRIVE - Moon & Tunes Option

In 2004 I went to the GM dealer to check out the new Cadillac SRX. The interior was heavily padded and I felt closed in. The car I saw -in black- looked like a hearse. A few feet away was a Pontiac Vibe. For laughs I sat in it: the interior was comparatively light and airy; great visibility; quite nice. After doing some research I found a dealer in New Jersey that had a Vibe with side airbags. (At the time, side airbags were not standard equipment, and since we'd be carrying precious cargo I felt that safety feature was necessary.) All Wheel Drive since we lived at the top of a hill and winter driving was a factor. It turns out that this was a "lifeboat car." We did not use it that often and although we had studded snow tires for all four wheels, we never used the car more than just doing snow figure eights in the adjacent park parking lot. We sold the snows when we moved to flat country. Most times we never revved the engine above 3000 RPMs. (No jackrabbit starts.) Now comes the interesting part.
The car has 67917 original miles on it. It was offered for sale a few months ago; two fellows wanted to buy it after the auction -each wanted it for $5800. If it's on eBay, it gets sold on eBay. A relative got her car rear-ended about the same time so I lent her the car to use. She reported some shaking, so I just had the car serviced at the dealer...tires re-balanced "Road Force Balance All Four Wheels"; new front disc brakes; serviced rear drum brakes; Recall #14877 - Supplemental Restraint System Air Bag Control Module Replaced. [Takata Air Bag Recall - #14491 - still has no parts available from GM.]The car passed New York State Inspection on July 31, 2016. Mileage at that time was 67,860. It currently has a NYS registration which will expire in August, 2018. Tires replaced July, 2012 at 50,000 miles. Oil change and service inspection March, 2016 at 67516 miles.
The Vibe's extras include the "Moon and Tunes Value Package" which consists of a power moonroof and a high class audio system. With the back seat and the front passenger seat folded down you can load 2'x8' boards into the car. With the seats folded down we got 23 Staples file boxes into the car.
