Firstand foremost I want to apologize to all my Professional Car Society Friends, hearse, ambulance, flower car, limo friends etc. and reiterate that I DID NOT PUT THE GHOSTBUSTER STICKERS ON THE CAR!!! They will come off easily, but they are on there for choice of newowner to leave or remove.
For sale by the auction method, a five day auction starting at one penny and selling to the highest bidderregardless of price. Set your alarms now for Sunday evening at 7:00 Sunday evening, Eastern Time.
Truly this vehicle marks the end of an era. This is the first year of the "new" big body Cadillac, but around this time, the government changed the regulations for ambulance and rescue vehicles. So began the decline of Cadillac ambulances and the beginning of Ford Van and Box Truck ambulances. This is a 1977 Cadillac Miller Meteor Ambulance Hearse Combo. Two jump seats in the rear area that fold down into the floor for hearse usage. Front seat has no rips and I had the front carpet professionally replaced. No cracks in any of the glass. Every door has a lock and all of them work. Front windows are power and work fine. Back windows are stationary. According totheMiller Meteor plate on top of the drivers side fender underthe hood, this was once a "crinkle top" and has been painted sometime in the past. From what I know of the car, it spent most of its life in Texas thenwent to New Jersey in 2011 to a member of the Professional Car Society. Fromthere it went to a rescue and ambulanceservice in South Carolina that put it in their museum. The rescue service was sold to a newowner and they decided not to continue with the museum and sold off the cars. This is one of them.
Car starts up and runs fine. It has good tires with plenty oftread. The big 425 V8 runs great, no knocks, no pings, no smoke. 4BBL carburetor sounds great. There is an electronic Federal Siren under the hood and it works. No fm/am radio. A/C ispresent but not blowing cold. I have driven this several times maybe 75 miles total. I trailered it up to Kentucky from South Carolina and I would not suggest driving this vehicle long distances before a thorough safety check. When I drove it out to getpictures, the brakes were soft. The car stopped fine, but may be indicative of low brake fluid or needing a new mastercylinder. Turns with no effort. Rides like a big Cadillac should.
Presents itself very well, but if you want aperfect vehicle, a paint job would be in order, but again, presents very well as is. Gets lost of attention. Be theonly one on your block (or in your city...or state!) to have one.
