1981 Chevy Camaro Z28 2Dr Coupe Loaded

This 1981 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 is clean example of an unmolested, unrestored, original example mostly unmodified, (updated carburetor and headers) second-generation model that’s a very quick, fun vehicle in solid mechanical condition. It is powered by a 185hp-rated, 350 CID (5.7L) V8 engine mated to an automatic transmission. Odometer indicates 66k miles, believed to be original, and it starts easily, runs smoothly, and cruises very nicely on the road thanks to being recently professionally tuned and adjusted. Factory A/C, power windows, power door locks,T-tops, cruise control, loaded Z28.
The exterior is stock with what is believed to be original white paint in good condition. After thorough inspection there doesn’t appear to be any accident damage/body repair, and the car is rust free. The rear quarters behind the tires appeared to be resprayed however looking through the drop-offs in the trunk and underneath it doesn’t have any body work or rust. I’ve taken the vent grills off in the door jambs and looked in with a scope...No rust, no accident damage/repair. The Z28 N90 wheels are wrapped in Uniroyal raised white letter tires ~70% tread remaining, all the exterior lights work, including the side markers and taillights.
The long-nose design is a feature of the Gen 2 Camaros, but is also prone to stone chips on the bumper and hood. Some paint chips there and elsewhere are present but minor; The rest of the car’s paint is original and still glossy, adding that the sides are straight with only minor dings, and there’s no evidence of previous accident repair or lifting of the graphics package. The front urethane bumper is in good structural condition free of warping. The air induction hood is intact and operates as it should.
The interior is in overall very good condition without any smells, scuffs, tears, cracking, fading, or wear. The weather stripping on all the doors, trunk, and T-Tops are soft and show their age. However they seal without air or water leaks, even at freeway speeds it is very quiet for a 35 yr old vehicle. Floor mats appear to be original and come with an additional carpeted set, front and rear. The air-conditioning blows ice cold and operates as it should. The interior seat vinyl is soft to the touch and there is no lifting or cracking on the dash. The seats are supportive. The Z28 is equipped with factory power door locks and power windows. The locks need a cleaning to get the old, hard grease out, however they function. The power windows function as they should. The speedo, tach and all the gauges are working, the oil pressure readings are good and the temp gauge reads normal even in 95 degree traffic with the a/c on. The factory cruise control components are all present, interior and under hood, however it is not operational at this time.
The engine compartment is clean, and original. Previous owner has removed the smog and fitted it with a holley carburetor and headers. The small-block V8 runs strong fires ight up and the Z28’s dual-exhaust Flowmaster muffler system sounds great. The factory equipped air induction intake is intact and working.
It has been fitted with four-wheel disc brakes with the rear disc apparently being donated from the same era f-body. The brakes feel solid with new calipers and hoses up front. The Z28 is a blast to drive and the suspension and handling are tight. All front end components have been confirmed tight and new rear leaf Springs and all 4 shocks have been fitted.
