Description

This is a one-family, two-owner vehicle with 140,290 original miles. It is a wonderful car for being 17 years old.

This car was first leased by my mother in 1999 from Valley Honda in Pittsburgh, PA. She has described this vehicle as her favorite car ever. She bought the car out of the lease in 2003, drove it for a few more years, then in 2005 loaned it to my brother and I who by then were living in Brooklyn, NY. In 2012 I took ownership of the vehicle and titled it in New York State. Since I live in NYC and don’t drive everyday, it’s accumulated very little mileage over the last 10 years.

We have almost every service record covering the span of the car's life thus far, as well as the original factory sticker, manuals, original stereo, and bill of sale. Tires are 4 years old and have been driven for only 19,000 miles. Brakes were replaced in summer 2015.

The car runs very well and the engine feels solid, all electronics work as expected. The transmission lags sometimes on hills. The catalytic converter cover fell off and is missing, but has no effect on performance. The A/C works and blows cold enough air, but I'm told by my mechanic that it needs a new blower motor if I want *ice cold* air.

It has wear and tear/dents and dings from street parking and time, but considering its age, is in good condition. It has been in one accident where a passing car collided with the left side front as I was parallel parking. The work was done well, but since the age of the car doesn't match the age of repair, you can tell by the pinstripe especially that the fender has been repaired. That said, it has not affected the mechanical operation of this vehicle in any way I can tell.

As with any car of this age, there have been minor issues and repairs done over the years. There is currently a leak into the trunk in heavy rain, and the ABS light remains on (my mechanic tells me it is a minor emissions issue that is expensive to repair, and does not prevent the car from passing an emissions inspection). The clock backlight needs a tap sometimes to light up. Driver side mirror does not fold closed. Passenger side seat has a small tear in the leather (pictured). The second key has been lost, but can be replaced through Honda.

I replaced the original car stereo with a Kenwood bluetooth/hands-free head unit, but as previously mentioned, I have the original AM/FM/CD unit as well.

If you're looking seriously at this 17 year old car, you know that a Honda with low miles still has a lot of life left in it. This is an especially great car for NYC errand running and weekend getaways. I know one very sweet retired school teacher who will be very sad to see it go.

I've done my absolute best to be as transparent as possible and disclose as much about this car's history as I can recall. I will happily answer any more questions I can to the best of my ability!

Thanks for checking out this listing, I've always wanted to sell a car on eBay Motors and I'm excited to see how it goes!!!
