THIS IS CAR NUMBER 124
IT HAS 9767 MILES
A detailed history of this car could easily be constructed, the following is a general background.Sold new by Grossinger Buick in Lincolnwood, Illinois in 1999. The original purchaser was a handicapped individual. The car was equipped with a hand brake and a steering wheel assist. There is a 1 inch square cut under the dash below the steering column where the brake attached. (see photo) The actual controller is in the trunk(photo). Photo with key shows the cut, photo of steering wheel shows where assist was attached. Evidence that a wheel chair was stored on the back seat floor includes: worn paint on rear of center console and wheel chair handle imprints in the headliner.
In late 2005 or early 2006 the original owner died. At that time the car had just over 9600 miles. It was sold at an estate sale, and purchased by an Illinois law firm owner. The intent was to give the car to their, not yet 16 year old daughter, After doing some investigating of the car it was decided that it was to valuable for the teenager. The car was placed in inside storage at their southern Illinois lake house. In 2016 it was decided to sell the lake house. They did not want to transport or store the carto the Chicago area, their residence. The decision was made to sell the car. I purchased the car, transported it to Georgia and titled it in my name. The car is still showing 9767 miles.
Physically the car is new, a near perfect body and interior. I replaced the battery that was installed in 2006, andhave done some minor cleaning. Tires are Michelins and are like new, no wear or dryness. These may be the originals. I have not driven the car, however it starts instantly, is smooth and quiet, trans is very responsive. The car now resides in my car barn, is covered, regularly started and movedforward and backward the same distances(no odometer change) to maintain all systems in great operating condition.
These cars sold new for around $40,000.00. SO, in round figures you pay about half of new cost and you have an almost new, rare and unique ride, or one of, if not the lowest mile Silver Arrows in existence in your collection. I welcome your calls ( Bill 478-808-6067) and E mails and wish you the best in your bidding.
