Description

Well, the time has come again! . This car is simply awesome and I will more than likely regret selling it... so I am in no rush to sell it so NO LOW BALLS and NO TRADES.. reasonable offers will be considered. I have the itch to build again.... so if something peaks my interest .... I will need room.... anyway... the car was again documented on FFCARS.COM forum and the THEFACTORYFIVEFORUM.COM forum. search "black mamba" The car currently has 3800 miles and going... I drive it about every day. Been to a few SCCA track days in it, so it is getting used! The car was a 2014 SEMA car, and I took it as a long haul car on the 2016 Hot Rod Power Tour last month ( very well sorted out car to endure that!) ... so after spending the first year of its life as a trailer queen show car.... now I just drive it! The numbers are vinyl and have been installed since the first week prior to SEMA. The only thing that has been done to it recently is that I added race compound pads to the fronts and the rears.. I also sprayed the removable 3M clear bra on the whole nose and the front of the rear wheels... Registered as a 1965 Ford in Alabama . EBAY does not allow me to put the VIN in... There are plenty of youtube and pics all over the internet of this car.. search youtube under Factory Five 289 FIA or search for P104009, P1040093, P1040094 under erik T

For those that don't choose to go to the websites or you tube.... more details below.

the car was built as a tribute to CSX2001. Under the hood: the powerplant was upgraded from the 289cid to a 347cid stroker V8 [delivers 311 horsepower/ 390ft./lbs. torque to the rear wheels]. The engine is completed with a period-correct Weber manifold, '48IDA' Webers [modified with 3rd transition circuit for drivability], Inglese 'Stage2' Weber cam, roller rockers. Period-correct Aviaid 'Road Race' pan, correct-rotation high-volume water pump and a 12V one-wire alternator encased in a generator housing. Period-correct custom-made valve covers protect the Ford Racing roller rockers. Period-correct V-belt design drives the water pump and alternator. The heater and windshield wiper (with park circuit) are tastefully tucked away so as to not detract from the authentic/ vintage persona of that engine bay. Geartrain: Tremec 'World Class T5' connected to external shifter linkage to allow for mid-shift period-correct position. Narrowed solid-axle Ford 8.8" rear end with 3.27:1-ratio gears and traction-lok with hardened axles and pin-drive hubs. Pin-drive FIA wheels and Hoosier QuickTime D.O.T. bias-ply rubber [P245/60x15" in front and P275/60x15" in the rear]. Front & rear height-adjustable Koni coil-over shocks, 3-link rear suspension. In the cockpit: hardwood-rimmed steering wheel, 5-pt. Simpson belts & harnesses (or both driver & passenger).Full-grain leather doorstop straps; fully carpeted. Genuine Raydyot mirrors (dash-mounted and driver-side) and lockable glovebox. Shelby Team driver Allen Grant and Factory Five's Dave Smith together autographed the glovebox at the SEMA show. Shifter handle is topped with a period-correct reverse lockout handle with 4-speed 'H' shifter ball. 'Legend-correct' forward-facing-3rd-leg FIA-style rollbar. Also has a 12V (cigarette lighter) outlet for charging accessories
