Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this 1959 Intermeccanica Roadster D. Intermeccanica is the premier builder of The Porsche “Reproduction” Roadster D’s in the industry.
This particular car has only traveled 18210 miles since new. It has the following additional options: “Vintage A/C that blows cold, power windows, heated seats and very unique, distressed leather interior that is in very good condition. It is powered by an Audi 1.8L turbo engine mated to a 4 speed manual transmission. Also, the brakes are upgraded to disc brakes on all 4 wheels. With these options you get a car that looks very much like an original 356 but with better performance and a higher level of comfort. The Intermeccanica Roadster “D” Standard Features include an original style Convertible D windshield and top with large rear window for excellent top-up visibility and wind protection. It has original Convertible D glass roll up side windows with positive seal on all sides. It has an Intermeccanica designed Stayfast cloth top with zippered rear window for optimum visibility and durability. These cars feature full custom construction hand-built to customer specifications and include the original style cockpit layout with ample space and leg-room (even for drivers over six feet). Original, restoration grade detail and materials were used throughout. It has an Intermeccanica designed and fabricated- tube-steel chassis, and a handmade one-piece, fully-reinforced ISO resin composite body, box-section hood, trunk and doors. Then body and frame are jig-bonded and the body is oven post-cured to guarantee fiberglass stability. It has very high-quality body preparation and paint, utilizing epoxy primer and Glasurit German acrylic urethane paint, the it is treated to a Full cut-polish finish.
