1989 Corvette for sale
This beautiful 1989 has had a complete build up including engine, trans, interior, paint, and rear end gears. This car began as a stock 350 cu. In. with 68k miles on the chassis. I began a complete rebuild and restoration with Carolina Machine engines building me a 383 stroker balanced and blueprinted. The build included a comp’s hydraulic roller cam, AFR 195 heads, hedman headers, Corsa Exhaust, lingenfelter super ram, a rebuilt and beefed up 700R4 trans with a 2800 stall torque converter, and 355 positraction rear gears. A new aluminum 3 row radiator and both oil and transmission cooler were added. The A/C was totally replaced. A programmable computer was installed with a pig tail for access to a lap top, and the car was tuned locally by a Vette programming specialist on the dyno.
New calipers were installed and also a new oem steering rack. The interior was totally replaced with
new carpeting and leather seats. The “bread box” dash was replaced with an aftermarket flatter panel
and the steering wheel was replaced with a combination wood and leather wheel. New KYB shocks front and rear were added and the rear tires are Toyo Proxis 4 and the fronts are Continental.
The car runs beautifully and is really fast as well as being a real sleeper on the street. I made one trip to the ¼ mile track last year and turned a 12.03 @ 118 mph at West Palm Beach Racetrack with about 400 plus h.p to the rear wheels. The car has always been garage kept and is now at 75K miles on the chassis with less than 10,000 since restoration, with all systems working perfectly.
I have at least$35,000 invested in this beauty and it kills me to sell it, but I have upcoming moving expenses and unfortunately, my favorite toy has to go to help cover the cost of the move. There are some spare parts included with the car, and include a pair of Mickey Thompson street radials mounted on custom aluminum wheels. Selling price is a true bargain at $11,500 OBO.
I can be contacted at: 786-348-6369 (in Miami, Fl.) or e-mail: stevefischer2@bellsouth.net
