1968 VW bus Deluxe

This is a one of a kind 1968 Bus, no other like it in the world!

To start with: Engine is a 2007cc stroked with dual Dellorto carbs and Gene Berg linkage, external oil cooler with fan thermostatically controlled for on / off, external oil filter, serpentine belt system, CB performance breather tower, sidewinder stainless exhaust and ceramic coated flanged heater boxes, solid rocker shafts, 70 amp. Alternator and so much more has been done on this incredible running engine. Fuel tank is completely rebuilt and professional cleaned & painted, new fuel sending unit and new ignition switch (German) dual battery system with a Blue Sea switch and ACR.

Transmission has been changed to a rebuilt 091 6 rib, super smooth shifting and quit. The shifter is a Gene Berg lockable gear that also has a reverse button and the shifting rod has been completely rebuilt with all new bushings… so smooth! IRS axles are completely rebuilt with new CV joints and boots.

Under carriage is all been rebuilt, front sway bar was added for more stability, tires are Hankook 8 ply heavy side walls to control sway on the freeway, 4 Koni shocks installed.

Paint is about 1 ½ years old 2 tone white and red with clear coat. This beautiful bus has had some rust repair, the inside has been fully insulated and sound proofed, all birch wood paneling, the front door panels are new with some of the roof and hatch door panels. A camper bench seat that make into a bed has been added, camper table, camper stool and propane heater was added and installed under the bench seat and propane leak detector. The heater controls in the front that works the heater boxes to send the heat to the front has a booster fan to move more warm air. Propane storage tank was installed under the sliding side door and aluminum step under sliding side door. Windshield wiper assembly from a 1971 Bus has been installed and control switch.

Jail bars have been added to the back 3 windows and curtain rods, also the hatch back door has a window that pops out and 3 sliding side windows. The driver’s side door window has some scratches on the inside of the window, all the doors lock including engine compartment door, refurbished steering wheel and retractable seat belts in the front. This is a California bus the man that owns this beautiful bus is a Military member and has relocated to Alaska from San Diego, this bus has never been to Alaska, he paid the registration in Alaska and saved big compared to San Diego CA. fees.

Sorry about not mentioning the brakes system upgrade to a brake booster and 1971 brake master cylinder, very light touch to stop the bus! Many others upgrades that I have not mentioned so if you have any questions please ask.
