Here is a loaded out road race ready 1992 Mustang GT fox body, with over $40,000 spent to make a great Fox Body that's perfect for anybody in almost any use you would want it for, its set up for autocross, but could be a great driver or even drag race, but it is built to be comfortable and near show quality with only 2 owners and 74,000 original miles. Be prepared I am going to write a small book on what all is done to this car and I will still be leaving out a lot!!
Lets start with the body, its a 1993 Fox body GT with 74k original miles on it, purchased new in Virginia by the original owner and sold to the 2nd owner in 2001 with 62,000 miles. The 2nd owner was a 74 year old dentist who just retired and wanted a fox body to play around with his friends in Porsches on the autocross track. He had a pretty unlimited budget and Springfield Motorsport in Virginia did the transformation and all parts have around 10,000 miles on them. The carfax says 3 owners but that's because he moved to Florida to retire in 2004 and it was retitled there. The body has a stalker hood, cobra grill, lx tail lights and full repaint, but it is 14 years old and looks excellent but has a few imperfections I have noted in the pictures. Spot in rear lower bumper, bubble in paint on 1 spot of rear quarter, little bit of scrapping on the lower front fascia, and a spot in the front bumper, all these are very minor, but I want to be very upfront. Also, along the wiper cowl there is what looks to be uneven thickness of paint, very hard to notice, but it is there as well and in picture. No rust, even on inside of hatch!
Engine:
Dyno tuned 448hp and 429 torque on a very conservative tune
347 Stroker with Forged Pistons, crank and rods, GT40x Aluminum Heads, GT 40 intake
F303 Camshaft
Vortec SQ S Trim Supercharger with Aftercooler
Large Capacity oil Sump
38# Injectors
77 pro-m Mass air meter
Auromotive A-1000 Fuel Pump, adjustable regulator, rails and an fuel lines
MAD 6AL ignition, MSD 6 BTM boost timing master with blaster coil
31x19x3 aluminum Radiator and Mark 8 electric fans
Shorty headers and dual exhaust, fairly loud though
Brakes:
Front- Baer 13" front disc track brakes, 5 lug, both fed fresh air through adaptations in the fog light holes
Rear: Baer 12" Touring Brake kit......The brakes are far and above the best ive ever experienced!!
Suspension:
GRP Tubular K Member and control arms
Maxim Motorsports Caster Camber Plates
Bump Steer kit
5 Lug Conversion
Koni adjustable front coilovers
Rear torque arm 3 link rear suspension, panhard bar, proshock coilovers, adjustable rear swaybar and heim joints throughout.
Ladder style sub frame connectors
Mini Tub Rear setup
FMS 8.8 rear 31 spline axles, svt diff cover, Auburn Unit 3.55 grears
Transmission:
T56 6 speed conversion, Spec stage 2+ clutch, custom aluminum driveshaft, runs and drives perfect and makes this car very, very streetable, however, it just started to have a 3rd gear scratch, double clutching or slow shifting has no problem and its not bad in any situation, but will make noise for a second, im assuming synchro, clutch is strong, zero slipping and this mustang can cruise on the hwy at 1500 rpms or rip anywhere with a downshift, major upgrade from factory 5 speed.
Wheels, rear are 17x10.5 Chrome cobras with brand new Nitto 315/35/17 NT05r tires
Front17x9 with nitto 555r2 275/40/17
Interior has rear seat delete with 6 pt roll cage with removable door bars, I have them but never put them in, Simpson racing harnesses as well as factory seat belts, SVT Brand new racing seats and adjustable tracks.
autometer white faced gauges, water temp, oil temp, boost/vac, volt, rear axle temp, 5"memory tach with shift light, and external mounted fuel pressure Gauge .
It still has the factory tape deck, but it does not work. The ashtray door is still in and functions perfectly as does the arm rest. All power options still work, door panels in excellent shape, map pockets deleted, All creature comforts still exist like heat and ice cold air conditioning, carpets and interior are in excellent shape.
I am sure I am leaving out a ton of stuff, pretty much if you can add it to a fox body to improve it, this car has it done. Its a bit cold natured, takes about 30 seconds to settle into a good idle, but drives and idles great even with a/c at full blast. Everything works and this car is one someone will be proud to own. I have 3 small children and its unfortunate, but I just don't have time to drive it and enjoy it at this point in my life, in 2 years I've just put a couple hundred miles on it. This is a no reserve auction, highest bidder gets it, keep in mind that this is a top notch GT and I have described everything to the best of my ability, no surprises here, it is not a new car, but a very nice example of a top shelf Fox Body. I literally have hundreds of pages of paperwork and receipts on this car to back everything up, this is a high dollar build.
Please do not bid unless you actually have the money to purchase the car, this is not the kind of vehicle most people can get a loan on, if you need a loan, please certify that before bidding. I have many more pictures, please email me and provide an email to send them to. I am located in Springfield, MO and would be glad to help arrange shipping at buyers cost.
