The Starlite Coupe is a vintage hot rod built in 1963-64 in Buffalo, NY by Bill and Don Leslie. Bill purchased the car in 1963 with the 303 Olds and Buick 3 speed already installed. The customization performed by Bill and Don included channeling the body, Frenched antennas, lead sculpting the custom nose and taillight, as well as installing the Plexiglas "Starlite" roof. The car won the 1964 Buffalo Autorama held at the Masten Armory. After showing the car once more in 1964, the car was placed in storage for nearly 45 years.
The car has patina-ed nicely over the years, and remains largely original to the 1964 build. The car still wears original Goodyear bias plys up front, and Atlas tires in the back, Vintage speed parts on the engine include Offenhauser valve covers, an Edelbrock intake and homemade headers. The interior is in excellent condition, with the naugahyde and the custom console in great condition.
I have owned this car for four years and have installed a custom fuel tank, as well as perform a general tune up on the engine and transmission. The car starts, runs and drives fine.
Included in the sale is the photo album of the car's history and the Autorama display items and trophy. The history surrounding this car is second to none. This is a must have for any vintage hot rod collector.
