We have decided to sell our 1998 SHO project. I have had 5 of these awesome cars through the years. I had purchased this car along with a complete donor car in order to replace the door and extra parts available as we needed them. This car does drive well in the condition it is currently in. The heat works fine, the AC blows cold, the sunroof opens as it should. The few areas of damage as shown in the pictures is what we were going to correct before we started driving the car regularly. A few other projects has forced us to offer this car for sale.
As would be expected with a car of this age there are a few mechanical things that should be done in the near future:
The valve cover gasket in the front of the engine has signs of starting to leak.
The power antenna does not go all the way down as it was bent a few years ago in a car wash. It still works and goes up when you start the car but does not go all the way down.
The chrome wheels look good and clean up really well. The chrome on the inside of at least two of the rims has started to flake. Again, it does not affect how it drives.
As mentioned earlier, I have a complete 1997 SHO that is in running condition but is in need of a cam position sensor. *** this 1997 SHO will be offered to the winning bidder of this auction for an additional $350.
Please ask any questions before bidding if you are unsure of something. This is not a show ready car by any means but, it does look very nice and does turn heads. Replace the door and paint the quarter panel and you will have 1 very nice SHO at a fraction of the NADA Value. It is truly a fun car to drive! The mileage may go up slightly as I still enjoy taking the car to the store and back on occasion!
