If you love the 7.3 diesel and been looking the perfect truck, this is it! One of the cleanest, most well taken care of 7.3’s you’ll find anywhere in the country! And it’s the #1 vintage for these trucks…a 2003 7.3, F250 Super Duty, 4 door, Short Bed!
ADULT OWNED, OPERATED AND MAINTAINED! Highway rig, not trail rig!
Purchased for my wife to replace a 6.0 (those of you who know the 6.0 know exactly why). But, alas, after a year of looking for, and finally purchasing the right one, she didn’t like it, so off to the chopping block.
Here’s the lowlights:
· The door ash trays (do we really still have those???) have wear since the stick out a bit and get rubbed. The steering wheel has normal 200k wear on it. The headliner has a few coffee/pop stains. The steering is not as tight as I’d like, but likely due to big tires and 4” lift. It doesn’t get the fuel millage of a Cummins.
Here’s the highlights:
· We are the third owner of this truck, which came out of Arizona with a clean Carfax. This is a never-smoked in truck.
· Nearly perfect body. Bright white. In the fall of 2015 it was professionally buffed to show room condition, along with charcoal two-tone added. Bumpers were painted to match, although a slightly different shade of charcoal and a tougher paint. New factory-style running boards were added along with the updated 2007 grill and headlights.
· Chassis is in good shape. In November 2015 it got new brakes and rotors, front wheel bearings, and two new injectors. Super Duty, so it’s got factory rear overloads. Does not have that Drive to Reverse “clunk” in so many of these trucks. 4x4 high/low works great. Transmission shifts hard in every gear, so it probably got a lot of millage left in it.
· Good running 7.3 with only 217,000k on it. The motor was all stock except for K&N Cold Air, 4” MBRP exhaust and Diel CNG (natural gas, NOT propane) Injection. After purchase, we added a nice set of Glow Shift gauges: 100PSI Fuel (run 62 consistently), 2400 degree EGT and 35psi Boost. Also added a 6 position chip (50-240hp) with fast idle setting. Two new battery’s in 2014.
· This is a Lariat option truck, so it’s got power-everything…including adjustable petals for those with leg-length challenges. The interior leather is nearly perfect and VERY well taken care of. Have a look at picture of the driver seat for an example. The carpeting is outstanding! Air conditioning is ice cold and the heater will keep you plenty warm on the coldest winter night.
· Bonus stuff. Dual airbags and 4-wheel antilock = cheaper insurance. Child lock’s helps make it a family rig. Front and rear fold down center counsel. Milion touch-screen sound system with all the inputs and 9” screen DVD in the roof. 2” heavy duty receiver with 7-pin plug. Backup sensors. 2007 grill and headlights. New factory-style running boards. Extendable towing mirrors. Factory bed rail covers and Rhino-lining. High RPM Greenfield starter.
· The really cool stuff. 4” soft-ride lift (drives VERY nice down the road). With CNG on we’ve documented 24mpg on diesel at 75-80mpg. The tires are getting pretty worn out, so we’re including two complete sets with wheels (see pictures). One set is 35 x 12.5 x 17 and the other 35 x 13.5 x 18. We also added 1” spacers to get the wheels out where they belong to match the fender flares. Gives the truck an outstanding stance and rides great on the corners! Professional window tinting all around…not that cheap purple garbage.
This truck is a real head-turner! And YES, with that 4” exhaust it’s got that one-of-a-kind 7.3 turbo sound you just can’t beat! After looking so long for this, it’s hard to let it go, but it’s just sittin! If you’re the winner, you won’t be disappointed in this rig! Happy bidding!
