I've been driving this fantastic 1973 Mercury Cougar for 4 years. The engine and transmission are solid. I drive her in San Francisco's horrible traffic most days. I've replaced the timing chain, water pump, harmonic dampener, and vacuum modulator. She runs and drives great.
The sequential turn signals do not sequentially blink anymore after a roadside fix to ensure I had turn signals. The blower motor and AC don't work. There isn't a radio in the car currently, I have a new one, but haven't cut the plate to install it. The gas, temperature, and oil gauges all read 25% high. The passenger's side door panel doesn't attach to the door very well, and the driver's side is pretty beaten up. The driver's side seat leans way back. The pictures show the damage that was done on the rear driver's side quarter panel by a hit and run. As far as I know, that's everything that's wrong.
This is a great car that I'm going to miss driving.
