chevrolet impala 1972

1972 Chevrolet Impala Convertible. Presented in anniversary gold over cream and brown interior. Three owner car, and a member of my family since 1985. 400 small block engine. Cosmetically restored about 6 years ago. 1972 was the last year Chevrolet produced the Impala convertible. After 1972 the full size convertibles were Caprice's. 6,456 Impala convertibles were produced for the 1972 model year. Strong original engine, not rebuilt. The car is kept in a dry garage under cover year round. This is not a perfect car but a solid one. Restoration is ongoing. If I were to keep the car I'd likely replace the door and window seals and maybe the shocks. The top is about 7 years old and in better than good condition. The tops on these cars (called scissor tops) were the same for all full size GM convertibles including the Bonneville and Eldorado. Parts are readily available. The fused glass rear window is a separate part from the top. There is a small tear at the base of the window (about one inch) that has been professionally repaired from both sides and has not caused any further problems. Good tires and ready to go cruzin!
