This is my 1981 Chevy Crewcab shortbed. If you know Chevy trucks then you know Chevy didn't offer a crewcab shortbed in the 80s. This started out as a 1ton Dually 4x4. I shortened the frame and added a shortbed. The "entire" truck has had a frame up restoration. I will try to list everything I did to it as best as I can. If I couldn't restore a part to new condition I replaced it with a new one.The front and rear axles are 3/4 ton.
The rear axle is a full floater with Detroit Locker. .373 Gears front and back are all new. Transfer case is the np 205. New rotors, large drums, pads, calipers, shoes, proportioning valve, drive line, Flowmaster exhaust, shocks, front springs from Tuff Country, all new bushing and bearings, steering box. 4 core radiator, hoses, tires. All new Ice cold A/C (I live in Arizona)The interior was completely redone from the overhead console, headliner, carbon fiber door panels, seats, carpet and Dynomat inside the whole cab. The stereo is the original 8-track (if you remember those... yep you're old) I didn't want to cut the dash so I also added an auxilary jack below the stereo for iphone or ipod.(see pic) Rockford Fosgate amps and sub under rear seat. Boston acoustics 5.5 speakers in kick panels and Rockford Fosgate tweeters in the dash. Rearview camera in the tailgate and screen in rearview mirror, also extra jack for GPS. All gauges work. Fuel doors were relocated to the inside of the wheel well.Engine is an LS 5.3 from a 2004 Yukon the motor had 58,000 miles at the time of install. Now it has 66,000. Dual tanks, and hydroboost brakes. Bed liner is also brand new from Tuff Skin. I know I have forgotten a couple things, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK AND I WILL ANSWER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.I never intended to sell this truck but because of unforeseen circumstances I must. I work out of my house so this truck was mainly driven to the dunes 4 to 5 times and around town on the weekends. I will include as many pictures as I have to show the work that was done. The reserve is VERY FAIR so the highest bidder will most likely get the truck
