I bought this new from dealer in January 2005. The NB (Notch Back) design is destine to become a classic. That and this particular mellenium yellow color has grabbed more stares and compliments than you can imagine.
I started a build up for a supercharger long ago. A divorce delayed everything considerably then I moved overseas. Now I am selling it with the work I have accomplished. I am moving to Indonesia permanently. This is what I have completed:
Stock wheels powder coated semi-gloss black (Broken Arrow Powder Coating, Inc.)TPS (tire pressure sensors) installed at each wheel but the module not yet reprogrammed to read themFancy center caps at each wheel, originals includedOriginal alternator rebuilt (Shorty's Auto Electric in Tulsa)Original starter rebuilt (Shorty's Auto Electric in Tulsa)LPE starter heat shield installed (Lingenfelter Performance Engineering LPE-HEATSHD-1)GMPP engine oil cooler lines installed but no oil cooler (DeWitts Reproductions Inc.)Heavy Duty 3 row radiator installedRam Street Dual disc clutch installed (Corvette Central)ARP Pro Series Flywheel bolts (Corvette Central)New clutch slave cylinder installed (Corvette Central)New Pilot Bearing (O'Reilly Auto Parts)*REMOTE CLUTCH BLEEDER* installed (Total Performance Engineering, Las Vegas, NV)Sound/heat insulation blanket installed in torque tube tunnel (Grand Prix Auto Sports Center in Tulsa)New spark plugsNew spark plug wiresNew battery (Napa Auto Parts 07/13/2016)
All installed and not run until a few months ago. The car has been in storage. I finally realized I wont be here to drive it or see the supercharger.
I had the exhaust manifolds off in order to install my long tube headers, recently auctioned off. I put all the original exhaust back in place, including the titanium mufflers.
In this auction I am including:
New sealed 2004 Corvette brochureOwners manual incl. CD & Z06 tire pressure guageGM factory service manual in hard copy (2 volumes)Outdoor car cover Heavy Duty (Typhoon brand)Indoor car coverReceipts for parts and service work done
My C5 library:Road & Track Portfolio 1997-2002Corvette C5 Performance Projects 1997-2004Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s Modifying and Tuning Gen III Engines for GM Cars & TrucksChevy LS1/LS6 PerformanceCorvette C5 by Mike MuellerHow to Tune and Modify Engine Management SystemsSuperchargd! Design, Testing and Installation of Supercharger SystemsCorvette Black Book 1953-2010Original issues Corvette Fever; March 2000, September 2000, & September 2001
A few weeks ago the windows started to creek and make noise as they went up and down. I know the problem with C5 widows not moving at all. In fact I fixed the passenger side regulator by filling down a few teeth that did not fit well with the worm gear. This is different. I think maybe a cable has come off the pulley. So I just leave them up. I don't have time to correct this, to busy packing and selling. I also noticed a buckle in the right rear quarter panel while taking pictures. I don't even remember how this happened but you should know.
HVAC display is bright. I re-soldered the SMD resistors.
This car will run long and good for you but I hope you can see the potential in adding the headers and supercharger it deserves.
Priced to sell!
