As you can see in the photos, the paint job is multi color, with quite a bit of accent color added as well. Exterior conversion also added custom running boards which extend into flared wheel wells. Custom wheels and fog lights have also been added.
The interior was completely re-done as well. The seats were upgraded to their own Legend leather interior. The middle row has 2 captain's chairs, identical to the front row, so the Suburban seats 7 in total. The photos show some of the wood trim that has been added, but it's difficult to show everything. I could not get good focus shots of the lighting that was added. Throughout the vehicle are strings of tiny lights on the ceiling that are controlled by a set of toggles in front. Kind of a high tech look ... at least for 1999.
This is not a vehicle for someone who needs to sit in their wheelchair inside the vehicle. I am able to help my wife transfer into the front passenger seat. It has a specially designed seat mechanism by Access Unlimited called Easy-Reach. It is mounted between the floor of the Suburban and the seat itself, thus allowing the original (and extremely comfortable) original seat to be used. It's not one of those uncomfortable add-on after market seats. The Easy-Reach mechanism alone costs $8,500. You can check it out at their website: accessunlimited.com/html/trucks1.html
As you can see in the photos, there is a wheelchair lift. It's called the TriLift and it is much less clunky and cumbersome than virtually every other lift on the market. It's so simple to use ... no tie downs. It also has the critical Tilt-Away Option. It sells for about $2,000. Here's their website: triliftmobility.com
I'm selling this Suburban with the Easy-Reach Seat & the TriLift (as an accessible vehicle). There is a part of the Trilift that fits onto the wheelchair, and the one we have is designed to fit onto a Jazzy Select GT (it will fit on virtuall all Jazzys). For that reason, I will throw in a very good condition Jazzy Select GT with the purchase. Of course I realize that you may not need or want the Jazzy. If you want to keep the TriLift, you can buy the part designed to fit your particular chair or scooter ... or you could mount my part directly onto your own Jazzy. If that's the case, I will keep the Jazzy and lower the cost by $300. If you decide you do not want the TriLift at all, I will keep both the Jazzy and the TriLift and lower the cost by a total of $800.
The vehicle is a 1999 ... that's far from new! I'm not a "car person," and for the most part, could care less how a car "looks." I'm more about function. I'm 60 years old and don't ever recall anyone ever commenting favorably about the looks of any of my vehicles ... except for perhaps a VWBus Splity I had 40 years ago. No exaggeration ... at least 100 people have stopped me in my tracks just to comment on how good it looks. I walk out of a store and find people admiring it in the parking lot. Funny.
Up until a few weeks ago, it was driven daily, and impeccably maintained. Just could not take a chance on it not being there for my disabled wife every single day. Even though it's a '99, it drives quite nicely, much smoother than other Suburbans I've had and been in ... even newer ones. While the exterior is not perfect, it has to rate a 9 to 9.5 out of 10. The interior is virtually as good, with the radio being the biggest issue. It works fine, but can be staticy at times, depending upon where you are driving. Some stations are better when nearer to Sacramento and others are better when nearer to San Francisco. I'm referring to AM stations, as FM seems to be somewhat better. It might be the antenna??
