For Sale: Pristine 2002 Pontiac Trans AM triple black, 6-speed Firehawk Convertible with 3690 miles—one of most rare 4th generation GM F-bodies ever made.Firehawk was a GM certified option/alteration package for top-of-the-line Pontiac Trans (WS-6). The alteration was handled by SLP, who also provided the alterations that made the less expensive Camaro SS for the same years (1999-2002). The base Firehawk 2002 alteration price was $4299 on top of the Trans Am price, and then a menu of additional SLP/Firehawk options was available. This car has the desired Bilstein Suspension Package ($1099) and the Auburn High Torque Differential ($899). The SLP Firehawk Sticker was an additional $7512, on top of the loaded $33,910 sticker price for the WS-6 Trans AM. Included in the Trans AM options are 12-Disc CD player, traction control, and Hurst Shifter. The car was sold new at Poirier Pontiac in Fall River, MA on 12-26-02 to private owner in RI. It was then sold to a dealer/person in Council Bluffs, NE on 3-29-08 with 1608 miles. The 3rd owner purchased it on 2010 and kept in Elmhurst, Ill. I purchased the car in April 2016, after searching 4 years for a mint condition 1999-2002 triple-black Firehawk with six-speed. Production Numbers: For the 1999-2002,, 3069 Firehawks were made, of which only 400 were convertibles, and of which only 136 were black, and of which only 88 were 6 speeds. This car is one of 88 in its '99-02 generation, and for year 2002, only 71 black Firehawk convertibles were made, of which 45 were 6-speeds. Paperwork includes: Pontiac Window Sticker, Firehawk window sticker, Firehawk Birth Certificate, Firehawk options brochure, various pamphlets, and a copy of limited book Firehawk by Mac Logan. Also included: convertible top boot/bag, both sets of keys, both remote key fobs, and the Firehawk key chain, plus extra set of new-in-wrapper Firehawk floor mats. SLP Firehawk Options include: 345 HP engine, chrome wheels, Bilstein suspension, Auburn differential, premium front floor mats, custom rear deck (trunk) floor mat. The car is totally originally throughout except for the battery. Paint, roof, wheels, tires, interior, etc. are in perfect condition. No dings, chips, scratches, etc. The car also has custom-embroidered head rests with car # 886 in white. The car was an award winner at Omaha ISCA World of Wheels in 2009. It runs and drives flawlessly. It is a beautiful car that needs nothing. Why am I selling? I custom ordered this same Firehawk model in 1999, loved it, and then traded it in on a custom ordered 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo. And I missed the 1999 Hawk ever since. In 2012, I began a search for a triple black 4th Gen Firehawk with six-speed. They rarely appeared for sale, and when I found one, it was not in acceptable condition. Meanwhile, I moved from VA to Tucson, AZ a year ago, but I kept my VA home where I have large all-climate garages for my car collection. When I purchased this car in April, I was under contract to purchase land to build a garage and resume car collecting in Tucson. However, the deal fell through and I just do no have anywhere to keep the car in AZ. Located in Tucson, AZ.
