This is a true survivor classic.Selling for a friend for health reasons.
You don't see many 1961 Oldsmobiles let alone convertible.
The odometer reads 9,649 but I'm sure it's turned over once.
The engine runs excellent and doesn't smoke at all but should probably rebuild it. I know it has had new main bearings installed recently. The transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes stop on a dime. Car is a driver.
The car was originally white and at some point was painted red. I thought about painting it white but I decided better to leave it with its natural patina and let the car be presented naturally with nothing hidden.
The body is overall very straight. I see a little bubbling on the passenger side front fender and drivers side rear quarter panel. Floorboards are dry also. Trunk pan is in excellent shape with just some surface corrosion no rust through.
The bumpers, grill and chrome are clean and in very nice condition. Car is complete except for the side moldings. Radial whitewalls on stock steel wheels with beauty rings and hubcaps.
This is a great car either for restoration, customization,or just a nice classic driver. I'd love to keep this convertible and take it to the next level but I have too many projects and not enough time.
Thanks for looking.
